Hi friends,
I have below salesreport table, how can I get results of max sales of sales persons in one query?

salesperson sales orderId
Michele 120 120121
Guido 230 120122
Michele 300 120123
Michele 250 120124
Franco 100 120125
Guido 500 120126
Franco 400 120127

the query result must be;
salesperson sales
Michele 300
Guido 500
Franco 400

It depends what you ultimately want to do with the music files.

At its most basic:

CREATE TABLE MusicFiles
(
    MusicFileId int IDENTITY(1,1) PRIMARY KEY,
    FileName nvarchar(1024)
)

However, I suspect you want more than that. If you would like to give more details we can help you more.

I want to make DB of Mp3 file.If you could give me the example of how the table will be and how to pass query to select and play that file in front end of Asp.Net page

It depends on whether or not you want to store the file in the database itself, or use a path to the file. Without knowing this, there's not a lot anybody else can do for you, but I would suggest that at least part of your table should be a friendly name for the file that will be played. If you store the file on disk, then you should really consider storing it with a unique name (such as a GUID) so that it doesn't conflict with another file of the same name.

U can insert any extension in the DB .you need to use the data type as image

In Enterprise Manager select:

Tools, Data Transformation Services, Import Data...

The wizard will guide you through the import.

You could create a DTS package to read the excel file into a table.

The package could then be run from a job or stored procedure each time data from the spreadsheet needed to be imported.

for example
I create a table T in oracle database.
Can I get the text of its create table sql through oracle view?
"create table T (sno number(3,0) primary key);"

Open query analyzer.

Press F8 if the object browser is not present.
Select your database and then right click on the appropriate table.
Cursor over Script Object To New Window As then select Create.

My apologize. My meaning is to get it by command line,not by the ORACLE console.

Hi,

i have a table of employee details where i have empno, name, salary.

i need to select the salary from the table in the descending order. the condition here is that I should not use order by clause.

u can use inline query . but my constraint is not to use order by clause

I could never see any reason for ever not using an order by clause to sort the output of a query.

The only other alternative I can think of is by setting the salary to be the primary key on a clustered index and see if that works.

This would of course be very bad design methodology as the empno field would make better sense as the primary key.

I would be more than happy to be proved wrong and am interested in what solution you come to.
