Is it possible to remove it? I don't see any way to subscribe article except of Submission Wizard, and it doesn't work, giving error after Upload page. What to do now?

If it's not working, could you not disable it for a while, Elina? Why have people go through it and then be horrified to find their article is half-uploaded! It can be a very unpleasant feeling for an author.

When I was submitting an article I stopped at half way to discard it but the article has been added to my articles list. As the article has not been posted, I can't view it in order to delete it. what can I do? Can you please help me? Thanks

Would you please advise me as to what I should do.

I can't delete my partially submitted article. Does the article submission wizard work?

I’d really like to just start again. Can I have an admin remove the article please? It is called Legion. When I click on it in my articles list, I get a 404.

You should be able to see (and remove) these articles if you click on the article posted link in your profile.

Yes, I see them and can remove part of them, though they still remain in my list after deleting. Some of them cannot be deleted, button Delete is missing, like this: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/DrawTools_WPF.aspx.
I posted the article by e-mail and ask to remove all this junk, I cannot do this myself.

Could you do something to indicate what's changed between revisions to make it easier for users to see what changed? Either coloring/striking inserted/deleted text or time stamping each item based on its most recent update.

Otherwise [Microsoft is] toast in the long term no matter how much money they've got. They would be already if the Linux community didn't have it's head so firmly up it's own command line buffer that it looks like taking 15 years to find the desktop.

While reporting the previous 404 issue, I also noticed a few other superflous requests that is being routed to ASP.NET Page Handlers, which might be unduly overloading the already 'all-hands-full' and 'overflowing-beyond-capacity-at-brim' servers.

1) Requests for even missing .ASP pages are being routed to a 404.aspx. These can be actually delegated to a simple 404 HTML (unless a granular logging is necessary). Simple HTML pages are serviced from IIS itself without bothering much on ASP.NET. ASP.NET engine will thank us for the kindness. Smile | :)

2) Much of IIS and Runtime Processable Responses are also being routed through 404.aspx

No they can't. We need to ensure users looking for old articles are sent to their new location

I was casually clicking through a couple of Who's Who Pages and found a common pattern of 404s. A few users just type the URL of their website without http://. For them, the web browser is treating the website URL as a subdirectory of CodeProject and is being served with a 404.

Example:

http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Profiles.aspx?mid=6556[^]

Homepage: www.codeproject.com
Rendered URL: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/www.codeproject.com

I have two solutions for this:

1) During Page Render, URL sans http:// can be automatically prefixed with http://.

2) The form which accepts URL from the user can be equipped with a validation enforcing this.

I did a search on "word context menu". The #2 result is titled, "Context Menu with TextBox Filter" with a URL of http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/View.aspx?fid=1649&msg=2216422 and posted by doubleas2380.

Clicking on the link yields a page not even remotely related to the search results.
