i have a problem with crystal report in desktop application.
i setup a manual refresh button to refresh the crystal report but the data isn't refreshed when i click the manually created refresh button but when i clicked the button which exixts on the crytal report i found the desired result.

Have you tried re-directing visitor to the page itself using either "Respone.Redirect" or an HTML (or JavaScript) redirect? That's one way to force the viewer to refresh.

I've uploaded my asp.net website.and also uploaded it's sqlserver database.(seemingly it was uploaded completely)
but when I open the site it doesn't work(it doesn't make any error or exception and open the webpage but dosn't display the the gridview)
my question is
1:what is the problem in your opinion?
2:how I can be sure that I uploaded the db correctly?
(plzzzz help it is very necessary)

Hi i have written the code below, its job is to bring up a popup when a button is clicked,
the popup doesnt work and i doubt it is taking across "WorkSchedule_ID" I tried this but it didnt work, I reckon the offending line is "strPrimaryKey =e.Item.DataBind("WorkSchedule_ID").ToString;". WorkSchedule_ID is coming from the database and each recored has its on unique ID, how can i pass it through to the page?

the customer can view it and fill it.then by clicking the "send"button it should be sent to my email address.
I should see all the data of the application form,or the origina html application form in my inbox so I can reply the person...
How can I do it ? I dont know how to pass the data in the form to my inbox via email ...
please help me. i need the data and filled items in the application in my inbox email.

i used session variable and also i maintain state name with the help of session.what is the problem means one user means no problem but many user login and maintain different state that time my state value also change .i want to maintain my state name in my browser window.how to i maintain session

Session is per session, ie per user. Can you use application state?

Generally, Regular Expressions for email are used to validate the syntax. But if you vant to validate one active domain, you can try to connect/ping with the domain entered. You can do it easily at server side code, but it may take a little time to respond.

my problem is that when i convert using rewriting the url like "www.mysite.com/services.aspx?pageid=2" into "www.mysite.com/services/2.aspx"
now before i get the query string value page id and then get data from database on behalf of querystring now i doesnt get qury string so i how get data from database
please help me

Hi All
I want to make a regular expression which should be start with * and there can only be digits with *.
for example - I want *53895.
Asterik (*) should be only one time in this character that is only in starting.
User can enter either like *53895 or 53895.
if he use * then he can enter only one * , in the starting of character.
I try to make this regular expression ^[*1-9'.\d|1-9'.\d]{1,6}$. But it allows (*) more than one time.
plz help me.

Hi,
I am unable to get the session variable on popup windows in asp.net. When I open the pop up window s on click on button, session variable is null on page load event of popup windows. How can I maintain session between multiple popup windows?
Working Environment:-
• Windows : - 2003 Server
• IIS 6.0
• FRamwork2.0
• IE 7.0
Any help is appreciated.

In the project , i have a folder named form there exists a login page. after the session expires , in the session end function(global asax file)
i am writing
Response.Redirect("Login.aspx");
login.aspx exist in form folder
after the execution of session end it is going in the application error funtion and it is not even navigating me to loginn.aspx page.
y it is happening
Yesterday is a canceled check. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is the ready cash. USE IT.

Writing inside session_end event is not a good choice. Write in the page where you are ending the session.

If your page is in form directory, the use Response.Redirect("form/login.asx")
