i have a table in sql table name (receiving) with five columns
1. opening_qty
2. closing_qty
3. balanced_qty
4. item_code
5. gross_qty
i have second table in sql table name (issue) with
1. issued_qty
2. item_code

in project when we receive an item then its qty automatically adds opening qty and when we issue the same item then calculate balanced qty and now calculate closing qty.
for ex.
date opening_qty receiving_qty issue_qty closing_qty
1/11/2007 0 20 kg 10 kg 10 kg
1/11/2007 10 kg 0 kg 5 kg 5 kg
1/11/2007 5 kg 2 kg 0 kg 7 kg
2/11/2007 7 kg 0 kg 7 kg 0 kg

that is the format for calculating balances
i want to do these calculations in vb6.0 code

I do not own one, but I've played around with Apple PCs for a bit a while ago. Its cool, sexy, and whatnot. But its just..lacking. IMHO, as much as we all bash MS' Windows, its a lot more polished, a lot more user (and developer) oriented. I just don't get the same feeling when working on an Apple PC.

Is that because it is alien to us? Wouldn't Apple users feel fish-out-of-water when they use a standard Microsoft Windows desktop?

I had an opportunity to play around with MAC-OS laptops when during my onshore assignment to TX. A few of the good things are:

1) Just a single-button mouse
2) Cool desktop (or does it look cool because of the first-time view Smile | :)

)
3) "An apple a day keeps doctor away" -- Lesser security vulnerabilities and more resilent OS to keep off from unwanted technical support calls and computer downtime.

But the downside is that MAC OS systems are pretty costly compared to a standard Windows desktop, other parameters remaining constant. Isn't it?

Not anymore. All Macs come with a 5 button mouse now. Of course, you could use just about any mouse you want on a Mac.

No, it's cool. It's funny to me how many Windows pundits dismiss the Apple OS because it is visually refined. Some of these people would never consider driving an ugly car...but insist on using Windows. Weird.

True. I've been a Mac user for 8+ years now. I don't run anti-virus; I don't have a firewall; I've never had a single virus, spyware, or other mal-ware problem. Also, Consumer Reports has rated Apple Support as one of the best in the business. (Dell is one of the worst)
