I think I see. Are you looking to create a system which poses questions in the same way that the Microsoft exams are run? If so, you are going to need to have a database with questions and answers in them.

in this type of question the student sees some thing like the actual windows interface and he can interact with it as if it is a real operating system

No, it shouldn't. It should be 54+60*4*32, which it is.

Each pixel uses four bytes, not a single bit.

The bmp file format is not a raw data file, it is an image file format that has a header (in this case 54 bytes), followed by the image data.

So i have this method, that accepts data inputs of various types from a web form...now some of them (if not all) can be left empty...and thus insert nothing. now my coding is not allowing it to accept these empty strings, any ideas?

Most value types in .net 2.0 now have a method called TryParse, this allows you to attempt to parse the string into the value and returns a bool indicating it's sucess.

Here's an example of int.TryParse

First, please use the <pre> tags instead of the <code> tags. It will help the readability of your code sample.

The comment about using the TryParse (or even Parse) is valid, but it doesn't apply to all data types. The DateTime and numeric (Int32, Double, etc.) data types should all have both of these methods.

What is the error you get when you try to insert the data? Have you verified that the SQL statement is correct and that the fields are not set to be non-null in the database?

k, i googled it, i CPed it and couldn't find it..
i've got this code:

report.PrintToPrinter(copies, collated, pageFrom, pageTo);<br />

my problem is that i want to print all the pages of a report..
so i'd have to set pageTo to value of totalPageCount of the report..
but in the report object i can't find any property that would give me this value..
anyone knows how to get that totalPageCount value?
