Hi All,
I am trying to write a application by using asp.net and c# for validating the XML data to ensure that it is structured properly and contains valid data types that properly match up with database fields. Does anyone have a code example to do this?

i need to design a enevlope and label design and print software in vb.i dont know how do i do it.please goto MS word->tools->letters and mailings -> envelope and labels under that labels part needs to implemented.this is used to design ur own lable sheet and print it.also need to provide feature for backgroung image.logo image and stuff.crystal reports do provide feature for designing labels but not on a run.so please help as to how it can be done.if u have any code then plz send.we can share royality

I creat a form like this
label_1 as display the employee ID
textbox_1 as employee address
Now I want update the address
I writing a coding like this

I need how to display emplyee ID (EmpID) into the form as label_1
this action continue the button click the next employee ID
display the Label_1 upto end of table. (assume the table
contain 20 records)
I try the session state but not working.
Please give me actual coding in VB format.

Hi,
I have a datagrid which is created by keeping EnableViewState property "False".
My question is even after keeping EnableViewState property "False" can i get the grid rows/data after the postback through Request.Form or any other way? An early reply will be really helpful.

Put all uploaded file in one of your application folder or create a virtual directoy and add put all these files there
Now when you want to open a file in browser put anchor tag that will refer to that file

Yes, obviously, as that's where the file is, but how do you want to view it?
How do you want the file to be displayed? As a file name? As an image? As an icon?
Where do you want the file displayed? In a web page?

I'm a bit confused.
Searching the web for a solution to disable caching, I found several answers to this question. Unfortunately, I found several different answers all containing a mix of
- Response.Expires
- Response.Cache.SetNoStore
- Response.AddHeader("pragma", "no-cache");
- Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache);
And secondly the documentation in MSDN is not quite clear, what every method exactly does.
Maybe someone can help me understand?

i was binding the data with the datagrid.i am binding the data through three tables.all the tables hava a common column field .i am using the hyperlink control to pass the id to another page.id belongs to the column name (which is common to all the tables that i mentioned a while ago).now the problem is i am getting the following error.
<b>DataBinding: 'System.Data.DataRowView' does not contain a property with the name 'vcode'.</b>
i am using the following code
<asp:HyperLink ID="id" runat="server" Text='<%#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"Pass")%>' NavigateUrl='<%#"DetailInformation.aspx?vcode=" + DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"vcode")%>'></asp:hyperlink>
problem is occuring in vcode

Here vcode is considered as datafield name.
try this

I have made webpages in asp dot net 2005 using C# and sql server 2005.My project name is "ubility" and the ip of server is 192.168.1.49.Now the problem is when i want to access it using "http://localhost/ubility", though it shows the directory listing, it doesn't show the page when i click to any link.And the second problem is when i use different computer and want to access the client page,i couldn't get it.I have used the address like "http://192.168.1.49/ubility" to get accessed of the project but it doesn't give the output.I mean it doesn't even show the directory listing. In this case, the error message is "Page can't be displayed." When i try to publish the project to the client side, it couldn't publish also.So how can i get the solution of this problem ??? My iis version is 5.

you can't play with client browser

hi
i have 3 pages.
1.signup.aspx->this page just enter u r email,password and click proceed button. it will redirct to verify details.aspx page
2.verify details.aspx->this page whatever u enter the signup.aspx page sre display here using session.verify u r email and password and click the register button.it will redirct to register.aspx page
3.register.aspx->this page i click browser back button.it will not go verify details.aspx page
and also
i tried session.abandon method.but it is not work
how can achive this?

DO one thing before page loading check the session values if you are in register page put that value in session ...
suppose
Login Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Login
verif Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Verify
Register Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Register
but while assining value in verify page check session value if it contains Register then redirect it to again Register Page
also add this code in aspx of every page
<head><br />
<meta http-equiv="Expires" CONTENT="0"><br />
<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" CONTENT="no-cache"><br />
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache"><br />
</head>

Register Page -> session['CurrentPage']=Register
i have one doubt what is the 'CurrentPage' and Login (['CurrentPage']=Login )

I mean that to store the page name in session so that you will come to know user on which page
Suppose When you are in Register Page and you click on back button then
in page load you will see what is the session value if it Register means user was on Register page (back button clicked) so redirect it to Register Page instead of verify .....
In short check the work flow ..

Is this corrct?
i tried this but the back button in register.aspx is workes.
i need i click back button in register.aspx ..the will not redirect to verify details .aspx..simply message displayed page ix expired.
how can i achive this?
