Hi,
Currently i'm developing a web based app. In one of the page i need to generate and show some data in excel.
I have added Excel 11.0 as a reference and using the following declarations:
Excel.Application ExcelApp = null;
Excel.Workbook ExcelWorkbook = null;
Excel.Worksheet ExcelWorkSheet = null;
and i'm using it as below
ExcelApp = new Excel.Application();
ExcelWorkbook = (Excel.Workbook)(ExcelApp.Workbooks.Add(Type.Missing));
ExcelWorkSheet = (Excel.Worksheet)ExcelWorkbook.Sheets["Sheet1"];
and it works fine.
But when i use the code below i'm getting compile time errors and for the below im not referring to Excel 11.0 library.
using Microsoft.Office.Tools;
using Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel;
using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel;
The above three lines are written at the namespace declaration section.
Application ExcelApp = null;
_Workbook ExcelWorkbook = null;
_Worksheet ExcelWorkSheet = null;
ExcelApp = new Application();
ExcelWorkbook = (_Workbook)(ExcelApp.Workbooks.Add(Type.Missing));
ExcelWorkSheet = (_Worksheet)ExcelWorkbook.Sheets["Sheet1"];
One more problem is now the above codes fail to compile in machines in which their counter compile. Can any one help me on this.

Application is a property which refers to the application of page one cannot make an object of it.
Can you plz tell me what reference are you using for these name spaces I mean which library are you using?

Javascript file has .js extension.You can use vbscript file with .vbs extension.
in source file you can use vbscript file
write this script between Head tag
<script language="vbscript">
Sub Get()
MsgBox("this is vbscript")
End Sub
</script>
call vbscript
<body onload="Get()">
........................
You can also write vbscipt file in notepad in VB language and save it with .vbs extension

I can write VB script file by using script tags in the Source file but calling to the text box "ONKEYPRESS" event is not there.How to attach script function to the text box in KEYPRESS event which is not available

- Add a server-side hidden field to your page.
- If you set something (either true or false) to the visible of div, you should also set that value to this server-side hidden field.
- then, you check this hidden field from server-side whether it is true or not before binding to the datagrid..

There is no direct method available it seems. You could use a flag column and change the value when a user starts editing record. Before editing check this flag value.

If you use this method, make sure you have the ability to reset the column on error. (try /catch / finally). If your code crashes after setting this column for edit, and before resetting it, nobody else will be able to edit.

i create an asp.net website using membership and ..
it works fine on local but when i deploy it to internet this error occures:

I think you can't probably use "." in hosting. You should ask your hosting service about how to connect to your SQL database. We can't say about that for sure since the connectionstring might differ from host to host...
