Are you sure you pass a form to it ??!!
if you don't pass mdiForm always, you must check it for being not null for changing the text.

Why does AppDomain.Load() give me so much greaf when Assembly.LoadFrom() works like a charm? I need users to be able to browse for an assembly that's not in the apps directory, and it would be nice to be able to unload that assembly when they're done. But at least half of the time AppDomain.Load() fails.

(first post up here )
I'm doing an MDI. I have the parent form (mdi container) and some child forms. My parent has a ToolStripPanel and my childs have a ToolStripContainer (first they had also a ToolStripPanel but they told me i'd better use a container instead of a panel for the childs)
When I create a ToolStrip in one of my childs or my parent and I want to drag it then I can move my ToolStrip to every panel/container from child to child from parent to child etc..
How can I make that I can only move my ToolStrip in the window where I created it. That I cannot drag it to an other form.

Hey guys I'm sorta new in Reporting, I'm stuck somewhere and I'm pretty sure it's nothing ! I'd appreciate if someone help me out !!!
I have created this app and i have set up everything to do reporting !
in my form load I have written this code:

crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = customerReport;
now when trying to run it, I get this error sayin "Invalid report file path."
what should I do ? And is there a better way to accomplish the same thing ?
by the way if you know of any tips and helpful websites I'd appreciate it !

well actually I don't write any code 4 that ! In my form on the viewer I click on thats rectangular thing and selct it right from there!

I am using Expresso to make a RegEx, I can't get it to work at all. I am horrible with RegEx in complex cases. If anyone could give me the RegEx to do what I am needing that would be great.
I have a web page I am scraping for Names on a web page. There will be multiple Names everytime, the Names can be any A-Z, as long as they want. The problem is, the browser puts this (& # 1 6 0 ; (Without the spaces in between each)) for a space character.
Samples:
&name=Will+Conquer">Will Conquer</A></TD>
&name=Wilsinhu+Knight">Wilsinhu Knight</A></TD>
&name=Xantiia">Xantiia</A></TD>
I want out of those:
Will Conquer
Wilsinhu Knight

I've got a kind of hard problem that's pretty hard to explain and to look for. So here it goes (code is in C#)
I've compiled a Dll, in which there are custom classes with properties, methods etc... I know how to generate XML comments with the three "/". But the summary will only be visible when I scroll on the class, property or method when I'm INSIDE my DLL source file. When I compile it, and add the Dll reference to another project, I'm not able so see these Comments in the other project, so I just see the Class name but no description. I've tried to add the XML file to the new project, but I know it won't work because VS sees the XML as a file to compile with the new project.
So I just need to know how to embed my XML in my DLL when I build my solution.

Hi,
AFAIK this is how it works:
- in the DLL project's property page, you check some checkbox to order the XML file
generation; the next build results in a DLL file, an XML file (and possibly a PDB file).
- in the other project (say a Win app), you have set a reference to that dll;
it will copy both the DLL file and the XML file if one exists. Based on that copied XML file
the EXE project will show Intellisense information that includes what got stored in that
XML file.
remark: at least one version of VS C# contains a bug in that it does not show Intellisense
on properties (it does on members and methods).
So there is no need to explicitly add the XML file to the other project; it is all
automatic.

Ok well I get it... This is the initial way I though it was done. Maybe the little bug you were talking about made me think I was doing something wrong... Be I guess that I musn't specify anything in the "XML Document" textbox (next to the check box) since it might change the XML filename. Anyways, do you know any workarounds this little bug?

No work-around has been discovered for the VS version that failed to
show property comments. I guess it was VS 2003 C#; seems like VS 2005 C#
does not have such bug.

Got back to work today! And it worked, it just seems that the "new" solution needs to be restarted and everything works fine. Another person here encountered the same problem with VB 2005 and reloaded his solution and it worked also... Thanks for the Help!

Many apps, like Flash, Adobe, and Internet Explorer, actually expose themselves as COM objects that can be embedded into your form naturally like a normal .NET control. What application do you want to host in your form?
Also, what doesn't work about that article? Are you getting an error?
