Need we to give code for paging in server side???
i set AllowPaging=true and in template coloum i add a check box...
i get an error "The GridView 'GridView1' fired event PageIndexChanging which wasn't handled."

You need to handle the pageindexchange event for the gridview.
something like this:
Gridview1.pageindex = e.newpageindex
Gridview1.selectedindex = -1
Bind the Gridview (need to bind the grid with the datasource)

how in 2005 e.NewPageIndex showing syntax error

Dear,
I have a shopping cart. There are very customer orders. Should i delete a product? Because if i deleted a product, the Orders will not show items which bought the customer before. or Should i inactive the out of product?

What exactly do you want? Do want to inactivate the product which customer has already selected in that case you need to store the productID in session and don't display the same.

Do you allow admin of site delete or inactive product?
I assume that you allow admin delte product. what does it happen if product has already in Order?

That depends on the requirement. I don't think admin should not be allowed to delete the product which is already been used in some order. But in case if the product is not supposed to be displayed to the user then it can be deactivated and thus the product will be available for your records and will not be available for the customers to select.

I have an ASP.NET database that lives online. I would really love to be able to run a local version and do "batch updates" or to synchronise them daily, but our developer says it's in the too hard basket?

What do you mean by ASP.NET database?
Database name should be something like MSSQL, MySQL or etc...

It's an online database built using asp.net technology - cannot expand on this as that's all the developer said.

Let's say you have MSSQL database which is hosted on Live Server. You also have another database in local machine.Your goal is that you wanna do synchronization or batch-update from Local Database to Live Database. You wanna know whether it's easy to achieve this goal or not.
The answer is that it's not that difficult if you have reliable and high-speed internet connection. There are some build-in features for this purpose in the most of databases. But you have to think about security issue very seriously.

So you want someone to write an SMTP server and give you the code? Wow.
See if your hosting provides email boxes, otherwise you need a server with MS Exchange, postfix, or some other SMTP server on it.
