Hi friende Good Morning
I am working on chat window in asp.net where i use Ajax script manager(Timer, update panel,)where timer always lode the page where I want my chat window scroll bar always at bottom .for this I am using java script:-

objDiv.scrollTop = objDiv.scrollHeight;

call it function on body onkeydown so its woking on key press but I want scroll bar always at bottom until user not moved. Problem is that timer always lode the chat window. And in ajax we can not call any javascript function on the control.

Help me

Any have any knowledge or articles on how to build your own Content Management System. I want to build one myself. I have seen some on the net but are very expensive to buy.

anyone any ideas.

Building your own CMS is something that is quite simple, or can be quite complicated depending on your requirements. There is an open source system called DotNetNuke which is extensible and can be used for developing content management as well as online applications

If you would still prefer to write something yourself could you give an indication as to the complexity of the solution.

As an aside one of the best tools i have found for developing a CMS is FreeTextBox[^] which can be used to allow users to enter HTML which can then be saved to the database.

Hi,

I am trying to add Profile to my website.but I am getting the following error.

"Error 1 'Profile': member names cannot be the same as their enclosing type c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\testasp1\0b2a55cc\f7eb3a0e\App_Web_ztqjfh18.0.cs "

Please help me to fix it.

This means that you have a property or method that has the same name as the class it is in, so I would expect that your class looks something like this:

public class Profile
{
  public string Profile // This is the error.
  {
    get { return _profile; }
  }
}

A quick search of google would have revealed the answer to this (or even reading the MSDN).

Hi dears,
I want to show some books or articles in my website like Google Book service ( not exactly), but users must not have permission to copy images from book pages .
Do you have any idea or any information about that ?

some people used to try to do to protect their images from being copied.

#1. Put one transparency image over the actual images.

#2. Disable "Right Click" on your image or page.

#3. Use Flash or any embedded object to show your image (but it won't be like Google Book)

Technique 1 and 2 are easy to hack for web developer.

Or. you may try this software "Web Lock". It will protect the whole page including images and sourcecode.

hello Experts,
i m using dis javascript function in a Usercontrol.but the _doPostBack function is not working. When i m using dis fun() in .ASPX Page its working but not in user control.

once i use the LogEntry object and the Logger object, i need the use the FlatFile TraceListener to write into a .txt file.

where and how do i specify the tect file name??

Hi, all

I have a Button is being created at run time.
Like
for(i=0;i<10;i++)
{
Button btn = new Button();
btn.id= "btn" + i;
btn.click = new Handler(btn_click);
panel1.controls.add(btn);
}

And the Event Handler is:
-----------------------
protected void btn_click(sender, EventArgs )
{
Response.write("Clicked");
}

My problem is that handler is not fired.
If I am putting the above code in Page_load then it is working.

I there any way to come out.

hi hari,

Actually that I know but my scenario is I have created many buttons on a particular event.
Then later on when the buttons are generated. I have to click on that and event handlers should work according that.

Actually in each post back page lost its contents is there any way to retain objects of page as well as event handlers associated with them.

hi!

my page which is working fine in ie.6.0 but not working in 7.0 wat cud be the prob.

I want make a DLL for all the .cs files in the application..

i have an html page in my aspnet project 2.0 vb.net.
It is the startup page.there is an image in html page.it was an a tag that navigate the page to another respective page.it takes some time to complete the processiong.Then i thought to wite a javascript funciton

and
location.href="page.aspx"
but not working.

its means url is not correct.its in same directory or not if its in same directory then is work.please check the location .............
