some people used to try to do to protect their images from being copied.

#1. Put one transparency image over the actual images.

#2. Disable "Right Click" on your image or page.

#3. Use Flash or any embedded object to show your image (but it won't be like Google Book)

Technique 1 and 2 are easy to hack for web developer.

Or. you may try this software "Web Lock". It will protect the whole page including images and sourcecode.
