i tried your code.its working finw for the if loop.
i.e
if(bool)
{
// do the things that you want to do if user want to close the window
return true;
}
but its not working fine for else part.
what i need to do is when they click cancel button in the confirm message box, i need to be in the same page.but the code closes the window for cancel option also.
give me the solution.

202.34.43.23 is my server ip where mydata.aspx is hosted
and the device is on different network.

I presume that images are stored in server. On the page loading count the number of images on the particular directory from server side and assign the number in one public variable. Now assign this variable value to a javascript variable to display the image number. Change image controls src using javascript when button is clicked.

I think for this no need to use that control, you can do this with a simple picture control without ajax support

i want to rotate the images with auto play functionality for every 3 secs with page numbers(1 of 10).
so i am using SlideShowExtender for showing slideshow images with some message .
when it is in play mode or when i click the next button or previous pubutton.
i want to show the current image number(1 of 10). is there any provision given in this control.
any help.

Friends a have written a sample code using AJAX concepts in a project. I used Script Manager,Update Panel. That project is working fine. But my problem is when the same code is used in another project entire page is being postbacked to the server i.e., that code is not working fine. Please tell me what might be the problem.

that is ok u r using script manager and update panel,,,,, first check in another application which is not working .. script manager place shoul be top and 2 thing is that this appliction is ajex enable website or not..if not solve then post the error..

i'm using two logins in my form, one for administrator and other for user.
I have used two panel each for administrator and user logins...
i want that when i click administrator login then user login should be disabled or when i click user login then administrator login should be disabled....
suggest me how can this be possible...

Why don't you use same login form and differentiate administrator and user with a customer type value stored in your DB ?

i mean that i have to send a mail to a user immediately when he register with our site . when he register a value in a sql table row changes from 0 to 1.

NO, you can't attach your console application with your database trigger. Trigger fired on the database server and console application resides on client machine.. So it is not possible
