I was wondering where to start with mic input with C#. I am doing a project on pitch extraction in real time (which will later become a guitar tuner) and so need to be able to capture sounds with a microphone.

Hello,
I think you are looking for a "protected" member, which only can be accessed from inherited classes.
All the best,

No No ... i just wana ask "is there any way to access the 'private' (not protected) data of a class from outside the class"
|
|
|
|
|
if you want to get to the private data you are going to need to use reflection.

internal?
this will allow other classes within the same assembly use the method

Hi Friends,
Class Implementing an interface implies class declaring publicly that it is implementing certain method(whose signature is defined in interface)..whats the use of this contract..What if class will simply implement that method..

Hello,
I am developing a MDI form application in C#.
I want to create some child window form according to the parent Form size.
To get the height and width of main parent Form i am using "this.ClientSize.Width" & "this.ClientSize.Height", but somehow it is not excluding the size of Toolbar, MenuBar and scrollbar.
Please tell me the way to find the active client area of a MDI form.
thanks.

hi gajesh
the client area of a form is a container control.
inherited controls are scrollabecontrol and control.
use the ClientRectangle Property of the control to get the
client area of the form.

Hi Joe,
The ClientRectangle gives the size of Form...I agree but i have not modified the size(298, 298) of the form instead to get full window i used property WindowState = Maximized(with & Height 1152,864). But the ClientRectangle property still gives the previous size only.
So how should i get the actual active client area height & width?
Thanks.

Hai everybody,
Have a nice day to you all.
When analyzing a piece of code i got the follwoing doubts:
1. They have declared a parameter like this int? sno and int32? mno. What is the usage of ?
2. They have prefixed [TestMethod] for some fucntion as if we prefix [WebMethod] for web service.
What is the purpose of this ?
Can anyone clarify my doubts, Please.
