I am trying to provide a link to a file using the Response.Transmitfile.
Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream";
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" + filename);
Response.TransmitFile(filepath);
This works fine. however if I use https and try to download the file from IE it gives me an error - IE was not able to open the internetwebsite. try again later.
however downloading of file works fine with firefox.so i guess i am missing some headers here.
any ideas what could be wrong.

I am not sure what you exactly telling
I think you want to do these html form element in the asp.net using c#
and accessing it.
Steps
1) add new web page to a project.
2) click on the source button, in that form tag add action and set
it to https://abc/MPI
3) add the hidden html tag add attributes runat="server". Do this
for all the controls.
4) now you can access the hidden control value from code behind
e.g In page_load
PX_VERSION.Value give the value stored in the control.

I need to send form content Dynamically and get a response. I am unable to create form and put all the code inside the form.
I can get form content to a string field. Then Is there a way to post form details dynamically and get a response.

in my project i have created my reports by crystal report.when i am publishing my site to remote machine then i am getting
crystal report dll related error.so what to do.i have add the reference but still getting error.so plzz tell me if have to copy any
crystal report related .dll file to bin folder so then plzz tell me the name and tell me all the steps in detail to fix this error as a
result i can view all my report successfully.

i have developed a simple site using asp.net 2.0.when i am running my application VS.Net 2005 IDE then it is running fine, i am not
getting error in any page.but when i published my site to inetpub folder and create a virtual folder.after that when i am
writing url in browser address bar then sometime i am getting error called object reference not set.so i could not understand why
i am getting this error after creating virtual directory and run my app but the same app does not produce any error when i am
running it from VS.Net205 IDE.so plzz plzz help me to solve this problem in detail.

ASP.NET render the controls differently in mozilla and IE. If a request is coming from IE, that will rendered from HTMLTextWriter[^] Class. A request from Mozilla is handled by HTML32TextWriter[^]. HtmlTextWriter, which renders HTML 4.0-compliant markup, and Html32TextWriter, which renders HTML 3.2-compliant markup. So follow W3C standards for designing your website. Write all styles in CSS classes. Don't use proprietary methods and properties that Internet Explorer has.

Mozilla FireFox works fine if a page is a valid XHTML document.XHTML is a stricter and cleaner version of HTML as given below:
1. All attributes should be lowercase
2. Values should be enclosed in double quotes
3. There should be an end tag for each begin tag

i two login userlogin/adminlogin
how can i use both login in one table(tbllogin ) instead of two tables
here
i give userlogin redirct to mainpage.aspx
i give adminlogin redirct toadmincontrolpanel.aspx

Use only one table tbllogin and create the fields username,password and typeofuser
Here typofuser can be user or admin
When the user types his username and password, you validate and the same time you take the typeofuser. Based on the user type you redirect.

try this .
In tbllogin add a filed named Isadmin as bit.
Wen insert data into it save this filed as either user (0)or admin(1)
wen login, creat an Stored proc that retuns the this Isadmin filed value. check this value and redirect to appropriately.

Could any one help me out. I have created a com dll in vc++ and willing to add reference in asp.net 2.0. Once I succeed but not able to add namespace as well as not able to access any methode. Its a spillting headache for me. Please help me out....

Hi Sapan,
Add the com dll by following method.
1) Right click on the project->select "Add Reference"
2) Click on COM Tab, browse the dll, then click OK button
Inside the page_load event, Create the object of the class which is defined
in the dll. If you have namespace in the COM Dll, then use like this
<namespace>.<class name>
then access the method from the object created.
Note:-
1) unless you defined the method in the class as static or shared you cannot
access the method directly.
2) you cannot access the class method in the import or using statement
3) you must declared the class as public class
4) access the method of the object created is done only in the function
and cannot be done in the declaration
I think this will help you to solve the problem, if you couldn't, message me.
