You are using the <% %>(script tag) in aspx page that’s why you are getting the error (The file could not be loaded in to the Web Forms designer) to view the designer page first remove all <% %> tags from aspx page.

Hi all,
I have an issue!!!
I have a dropdown list(somewhere near the bottom) in my page with autopostback set on.
The problem is as soon as i select an item from the list, due to auto postback,the control goes to the top of the page!(the page is long enough, so the user has to scroll down to completely fill the form).
so the user has to again scroll down till bottom of the page.

If you are using ASP.NET 2.0, you have one option called maintainScrollPositionOnPostBack. This accepts boolean value, which you can use with the page tag.Or you can check this[^] for an alternative method that uses javascript. But I suggest you to use the first method, It is cross browser too.

Datagrid is having different types of columns. In your scenario, you can make use of template column. Template column can contain other controls. So inside one template column put checkbox and make it runat=server. When datagrid render it will show this checkbox also. Datagrid will assign unique id to the checkboxes ( You can see in the viewsource ). Use this id to get the value through javascript.

You need three separate regular expressions:- Must be six characters.
- Must have one special character.
- Must have one numeric.
BTW: If this is a password check then best-practice dictates that the string should be an absolute minimum of 8 characters, and should contain a mixture of upper and lower case letters too.

i read both project on CP but they are not saying anything about DotLucene. Only they are giving link to www.DotLucene.com which is closed

Instead of DotLucene you can go for UMBRACO Search engine i suggest that is best.
The goal of the Umbraco search tools project is to provide deeper integration between Umbraco and the Lucene search engine, allowing you to do useful things that require retrieving and relating content and metadata with the minimum of effort.
For more detials UMBRACO.
Source code is also available in that, it will be very much helpful for you.

I have a web application that updates records in a Sql Server Table. Also I have another table where I insert data from a hardware device.
The systems works well.
The web page has 8 buttons controls that update boolean values in the first table. Everytime I press the button the page is reloading. What I want now is to interate AJAX in my application so when I press on of the buttons the page will not realoaded.
Also I need to poll every few seconds the second table so when my hardware device inserts a record it will automatically will be updated in my gridview.
I have absolutely no idea about Ajax and I have about one month before the deadline for my project.
Is this difficult to implement?
Any help or tutorials will be apprecieted...

The easiest way to implement this would be to use ASP.NET Ajax (Atlas) Update Panel. http://ajax.asp.net/[^]
You could also use Javascript setInterval to call an Ajax method that would query the database and update the page as necessary.

I have one problem when use Ajax panels in Visual Studio. The pages on my computer refresh very fast so I cannot understand if Ajax worked or it was just a fast refresh.

Set a break point. Use a debug message. Set the timer interval higher.
