Hi All
i have to hook File and Folder movment and i got a sample(from www.codeproject.com/atl/CopyHook.asp) but it is working only for folder but not for file so can anyone help me out to hook file movement?

hi, does someone know how to check the version of the internet explorer with WIN32 API? I know how to find this from a C# program but I want to check this from a scripting file.
the OS is XP PRO if someone needs to know.

You can also open iexplore.exe itself and query the version information.

Radio button problem

hai,

In my project there are 3 groups and each has 4 radio boxes.
if i check one radio box of a group than check in the other group is
remooved ?
those radio buttons behaves like member of same group.

is there any problem in the property setting.

please guide me.

because in the properties (in the resource editor), you must tell the starter of each group, and of course, take care of the tab order...

You've got the WS_GROUP style messed up, and possibly the Z-order wrong. Consider:

Group1
  Button1 (WS_GROUP)

  Button1 (WS_GROUP)

hi every body,
I am very new to IOCP technology... i need to do a chat program using iocp technology.that chat is like instant messaging. i searched in net but the articles which i found all are related to client and server communication..
but i want client to client communication...
is any body knows ,please send me link or necessary ideas to do that.

Anything you find on client-server communication applies to client-client.

The notion of a "server" means the side accepting a connection request. Typically in client-
client chat programs, every endpoint is a server and a client.

hye...im working on implementing an editor of text system for binary data in NUM files..i would like to ask how is the code 2 read INI files & how's d code if i want 2 save what i've edit to the existing INI or NUM files?

I want to customize ToolTip control on menu ToolBar so that i can change font of toolTip control to any desired font.I see number of example for ToolTip for dialogBox, but i want Menu ToolBar control. If anybody have some code and hint regarding this then plz forward me.

You need to create your own window for tooltip.
When user mouseover the toolbar it showthe window and hide onmouseout event.

It says that,network would trans u_long and u_shor values in different order.So when the value would be send and has been recieved,we'd better using such hotnl,htons,ntohs,ntohl fuucntion to convert the data.I relieve it. But another question puzzled me somedays.If the other datas,like string,"kcynic" for example,if each character holds two bytes long(Widechar),the reciever would get a string completely different string.In another words,the origin string is lost.
But it often does not so.Why?

I find this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-16/UCS-2#Byte_order_encoding_schemes[^].
It supports your point of view (string should be scrambled on different encoding machines). I don't know why you, experimentally, found that often the string are not scrambled.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
