Is there a tutorial or anything on how to implement drag & drop for a tree list view? I think there were some about a tree list ctrl, do they work the same?

I'm trying to create an installer for a VC++ program in Visual Studio .Net.
I think that MS has done a nice job with this part of Visual Studio .Net because they've made many things very straight forward.
Its a snap to create a string value under a registry key with their system but from what i can tell you have to know what the value is when you create the installer. However, i want to set the value to whatever path the user has chosen DURING the install process. Is there a way to capture the path the user has chosen and then use it as the string value for my registry entry.
Thanks!

I often struggle to disable this STL warning and am again struggling with it. I have tried placing this in every logical place to prevent the numerous warnings for "identifier was truncated to '255' characters in the debug information".
#pragma warning( disable : 4786)

1. Type it in stdafx.h before including anything else
2. If the problem persists add
#include <iostream> to stdafx.h before anyother STL headers.

Thanks a bunch! Placing it before any other includes in stdafx.h worked.

I've recently had a problem with icons for running processes disappearing from the tray. One Cpian suggested that an error in Windows Explorer may have caused it to restart, and not all icons were restored. So I'm wondering, how would I test the tray once in a while from an app to see if my icon is still there? Any clues?

I try to modify icon first, with the same values as the icon was created. When it fails, I know, there is no icon in the tray, so I can add new one. Does it help?

That's a great idea! Once in a while change something on the icon, and when an error is returned, re-add it. Thanks!

You wouldn't know of any references to it using C++ would you? I've been searching MSDN all afternoon and all they offer is C# and VB junk. All the useful stuff is gone

Might be, but I'm not sure. I've always considered the bottom center as the taskbat, and the bottom right as the system tray, but the article says,
The taskbar notification area is sometimes erroneously called the "tray."
So which area is this intended to affect?
I think it's a step in the right direction, though

Do not worry: taskbar notification == tray == system tray. It's just name. Simply, it's that space left of the clock filled with icons ![Smile | :)](https://codeproject.global.ssl.fastly.net/script/Forums/Images/smiley_smile.gif)

Or the non-MFC solution is FindFirstFile, followed by FindNextFile for each fiel after the first.
