I think you are using .NET 1.x framework. OnClientClick is available in .NET 2.0 framework. For 1.x get the link button at item bound event of the grid and add the script attribute to it, using following syntax

Lnk.Attributes.Add(“onclick”,”[your script]”);

Yes you can do it by using using System.Web.UI.HtmlControls
namespace with control <input id="File1" type="file" runat="server" />

Means you want to store it in server side ?

i know to upload a file but by hardcoding it on the server .But now i want to ask the user the name of the folder if he wants to make new folder and store it in that.

Hi,

Put a textbox to enter the folder name.
and while uploading the file check if any value is entered in the textbox.
if the values is there then create a folder on server with that name and then upoload the file otherwise upload file on the default location.

if(txtFolder.Text.Length != 0)
{
string newpath = path + "\" + txtFolder.Text;
System.IO.Directory.Create(path + txtFolder.Text);
fileinput.postedFile.SaveAs(newpath + "\" + filename);
}
else
{
fileinput.postedfile.SaveAs(path + "\" + filename;
}

Here is the code for creating a new folder. TextBox1 contains the name of the new folder

Hi,

I am using ASP.NET 2.0. I am also using themes. I have set of default stylesheets that I use across a web page. But depending on the browser used, like IE 6 or IE 7, I do a test and then just use that stylesheet. I do this test only when I manually go and type in the stylesheets, so I moved it over to themes. How do I do this check and only use specific stylesheets depending on the browser?? All the stylesheets in the themes folder is imported automatically.

If it is not clear please let me know.

If u want to link style sheets at runtime, use following code inside
Page_load function

Dim cssLink As New HtmlLink() 'Creating a link tag
cssLink.Href = "path_of_Stylesheet" 'set css file to created tag
cssLink.Attributes.Add("rel", "stylesheet")
cssLink.Attributes.Add("type", "text/css")
Page.Header.Controls.Add(cssLink) 'add link to the head tag

Thanks for the code, but please also remember that I am using themes, so there will have to be a check to see what theme was chosen?? Or how does it work??

Manually I did a test like this to check the IE browser version, how must I do this in code like you ut it?

Hi All
Please help me quickly. I am working on reporting serive 2005 but my client application is in asp.net 1.1 and report rdl is in SQLServer reporting services 2005.

Now the chart created on the report server is not appearing on client page thougn data are coming correctly.

But Chart Image is visible in report manager so what are the problem please help me to find out or any article regarding this please suggest.

Can any one tell me what does this mean.I was reading a book where I disadvantage of using HTML Control were given, I understood first one but this I didnt. It follows:

Another Disadvantage to HTML Server Controls is that a HTML server Control directly maps to single HTML Tags. Wouldnot it be great if you could add a single server control to a Web Page and it would be rendered as many HTML tags? Web Controls are the answer.

1. single map:

if we write in web page

when it will render on the browser same will appear means

1. one to many tag render as is web control
Now if we write <asp:calendar id="clndr" name="clndr" runat="server"> on the web page and when it will rendered on the browser you can see more than one html tags this means we write one tag and gets multiple tag on the browser.
so if same has to do in html then we have to write alot of codes so using webcontrol we scape from writing multiple tags.

I suppose it means System.Web.UI.WebControls which are nothing but composite user controls.

IIS vs Oracle AS server

We have a Windows Server 2003. We have installed
Oracle Application Server 10g on it for some other
application and it already uses port 80 which is also
default port for IIS.

Can I install IIS on the same server on which Oracle
AS 10g resides? Also, can I configure IIS to a
different port as 80 is already in use?

I need answers as soon as possible. plz...

Hi,

For changing of portof IIS open IIS manager, right click on Default Web site -> select properties and change the port and apply.

I think it is not possible to do for a web application but by using windows services you complete your task.
