Hi all

I have a problem with sending email in asp.net 2.0. The project works fine in local machine, but when i upload this to server it gives some error like...Mailbox unavailable. The server Response was: (ServerName)[IPofserver]is not permitted to relay through this..

Can anyone help me to solve this

It seems like you failed to authenticate server. Consult with your provider to get the SMTP server details.

Hi thanks for your kind reply. I set 127.1.1.0 in the relay option of smtp server. still it gives error. will you be able to give another door...

127. ... is localhost. It won't work in remote server. You need ask provider about the SMTP server address.

i have developed one application in asp.net.i have to upload that file .using ftp explorer i am uploading.what and all settings i have to set in server to upload my asp.net webapplication and in mail server also to send mail. in which folder i want to upload my application?

It depends on the provider who provides server space for your application. They will give the settings. For sending mail you need to ask them the SMTP server details.

Upload all ASPX,ASCX,ASMX,.CONFIG files and dll's in bin. Make sure all the path you have used in your application is not physical path.

After uploading my application when i am trying to open my application error is coming like

Server Error in '/' Application.

It means virtual directory not created in IIS web site.

First create the virtual directory then try again.

In your server which directory is being configured as virtual directory ? Mail me the server detail..I will do i t for you

in that server i have uploaded some html files it's working properly.asp.net file only is not working properly.............what i want to do?.........my directory name is v1.1. in that directory only i uploaded my html and asp.net files.

Just set your folder as web root folder (that is same as creating virtual directory)

hi frens,
i m using asp.net 1.1, c#.

i have placed a table on d webform, and it contains d controls.. wen i designed this form.. i was using 800 x 600 resolution..
nw wen i veiw d same form in some other resolution.. the control including table has changed d position on d webform n as a result in browser...

what shall i do.. to avoid this..
is it possible to achieve widout using table on d webform..

plz help me on this..

Some styles will be generated by the visual studio editor automatically for the table. Remove that.

It's better to use tables. For this problem set the table width in percentage. Like 100%. Then resize each column in percentages. This will work correctly on all other resolutions.

Hi all...

I have two textboxes in a magic ajax Panel..
One textbox is to get the cardnumber(txtcardnumber) and another one is to get the PIN number(txtpinno)...Using this textboxes i have to get the corressponding values and then click the button(btnbuy)to proceed further and clear button(btnclear) to clear values in the text boxes.. Everything is ok till this ,but after the process is completed the clear button is not firing..Any one help in this regard..

I assume you are using ASP.NET 2.0. When creating new ASPX page, visual studio will ask where you want to place the code. Single file or separate file. Choose single file , In this you can write all your code in ASPX file. Use the connection as usual here. Cool | :cool:
