How to set menuitem ID in owner drawn menu?

I am creating owner drawn menu(without using resource editor) so i want to know how to set ID to menu item.

So you are using CMenu class Isnt it?
If so you can set your ID to the menu item using
the second parameter of CMenu::AppendMenu()

refer the documentation in MSDN @ http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/kb145b0a(VS.71).aspx[^]

The same case even if you are using Win32 methods.

Try using LoadLibrary, GetProcAddress and FreeLibrary

Hi,

An easy way that I normally follow is to do the following:

In your header file you will find the following(more or less):

#ifdef PROJECT_EXPORTS
	#define PROJECT_API __declspec(dllexport)
#else
	#define PROJECT_API __declspec(dllimport)
#endif

Create a function prototype in header file:

PROJECT_API int myFunc(int a, int b);

Export your function in a .def file.

LIBRARY PROJECT
DESCRIPTION "Export Some Symbols."
EXPORTS
DllMain @1
myFunc @2

In your calling application, include the header file of your dll program and copy the .lib and .dll files (found in the debug directory) to the calling applications directory.
Link your calling application with the .lib file. (Project Properties -> Linker -> Input -> Additional Dependencies)
And call the function.

myfunc(2, 4);

just wondering, why are you exposing your DllMain() function in your .def file ?
AFAIK, no one should call it explicitely (the system does it) so there's no need for any one to see its clear name (even the mangled name is not shown in normal cases i believe)

So you can compare likewise...

bool <code>CYourMainWindow</code>::IsFocussed()

Don't compare CWnd* values to tell if they are the same window. Call GetSafeHwnd() on both and compare the HWNDs.

I have just build my windows app. to send a specific https request. At runtime it shows error code 12002 which is related to the request timeout I think.

As far as i can see, all is well. No problems what so ever.

Hi,
Better u add one more dialog with an edit box in it. Make it as a child, then you can use it just like MessageBox by calling the dialog in appropriate places.

CMyDialog *dlg = new CMyDialog();
dlg->Create(IDD_DIALOG1, NULL);
dlg->ShowWindow(SW_SHOW);

use this in places where you would like to call the MessageBox.

Yes MFC. No way in pure C++. Noreover, Standard C++ language has no GUI support.
