Hi,
I have a small program which adds button on the IE toolbar,
i want to show an popup/window exactly below the button in every condition
(window resize).
any help, link is greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to change styles of some client-side objects dynamically.
For example whenever the user is at the mainPage.aspx, the text between <div id="activeMainPage">blablabla</div> should be bold.
My problem is : how can I get the current page, and how can I change the text's style dynamically ?
BTW, I am a really newbie in ASP.Net.

unfortunately i am also a bit of a newbie in asp.net and cant offer a dynamic response,
however there is a simple way that you can get your text bold on certain pages that should work through asp.net.
presumably you are using external css style sheets.. in which case create a style for you div
ie #activeMainPage { font-size:60pt; }
in your external page and then if you only wish it to appear on mainpage.aspx / then only refer to it from that page.
so for each normal page you could for example name your div "homelink" and for your main page call it "activehomelink".
i know this doesnt directly answer your question, but i hope that it offers you a solution, all be it a non-dynamic one.
if you already knew this way, good luck in your search for the dynamic way

That is the exact thing what I was doing. The problem is how to make my objects use the activeXX{...} style when they should. I think some javascript will help.
Anyway, search never ends  .

Basic js manipulation of DOM objects centres around the document.getElementById function - give it the id you want and a variable is returned representing the object.
From there, you can manipulate the .style.XXX attributes of the object to style them as you need.

Hi..
My project was running on my old computer whithout any problem.But I copied the project to my new laptop.now when I try to run this project I face 2 errors that I couldn't solve:
1-the error:
Error while trying to run the project:unable to start debugging on the webserver.you dont have permissions to debug the server.verify that you are a member of the 'Debugger Users' group on the server.
2-If I click ctrl+F5 to pass this error I got the error:
SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
Iam getting the connection string from an xml configuration file as the following:
<connectionstring>Server=MyLocalServerName;Integrated Security=SSPI;Initial Catalog=MyDatabaseName;
Iam running the project localy and Iam using asp.net.
I am too late but i will never give up

i have created a sattelite assembly for my resouce file and added to my website but gives the following error
Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "DefaultPage.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "App_Web_ipc-9kf9" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed.

Show the code that you are using, otherwise it's pretty hard to say what's wrong with it.
A guess beforehand is that you are using some non-standard property that only is supported in Internet Explorer.

Then you have to show how you used that property, so that I know what you don't want to use. Are you talking about a css style, a Javascript property, an html property or a server control property?

It's pretty hard to reply for this message in forums. But I can give you some hints. My idea is try to create maximum possible id's with the supplied information. Check each id exist on the DB. If not show that to user.
Assume user has specified name as Navaneeth and age as 24. Then possible id's could be
navaneeth24
24navaneeth
24.navaneeth
navaneeth.24.
Then check each on DB and display only id's that doesn't exist on DB. It's wild guess. But try it

i m working on a mutilingual site includin english and urdu but the site dst display urdu data
and when i create the resource and compile it following error occurs
resGen : error RG0000: couldn't find input file "Default.ur-PK.resx"since ma file i sin C drive in the wwwroot directory and the SDK is in another drive i did padte my resx file in SDK bin folder but it is generating the same error

but this is not work in asp.net. what should i do?.
