It's been almost a year since I've started answering polls an browsing other people opinions. And since my first "vote" till now I am almost certain that the answer CListCtrl is present in every poll.
Of course that there are also imitors present here, but I thing that the guy who started the whole thing should be tracked down and be awarded a prize by CP.

You know how people in Holy Grail recoil when they hear "ni"? Chris does that when he reads "gotten".
The word is also customarily written in bold for added effect.

CListCtrl has a long history on CodeProject. 7+ years ago the search box used to be harder to find than the optional poll box, and CListCtrl used to be so hard to use that people were always searching for how to use it, so you can see what happened - people looking for help on CListCtrl typed it into the wrong box.
Now people just enter it as a long running joke. I stil laugh everytime I see it.

I guess I am still the odd-man out, there are no clear and cut answers I can give. I ended up voting all. I take everything from abstracts of papers, conceptual over-views, conference speeches to full implimentations. Each are good, each have worth. Often with new technology, people are not willing to share the full information, however, to be known for it, they do present information about it. It is a sharp line to tell enough information to show worth and conceptual uses without actually giving away your work. I reinvent the wheel often, because someone gives me just enough information to figure out how to reinvent it, and take advantage of it. Even commercial products, a good review of "this is what is great" is often more than enough to recreate the capability. Still other times, it is nice to have the source you need rather than have to recreate it.

Glad to see CListCtrl is still alive! 
It's somewhat of an inside joke - somebody a long, long, long time ago decided that the Other: ____________ box was a search box and searched for CListCtrl. For some reason it is now a custom for certain people to input CListCtrl whenever there is a fill-in box in commemoration of somebody's mistake.
Or at least that's what I was told.

I like to-the-point, "here is how you do it" articles that don't try and sell you a new religion. I'll make up my own mind whether there is more I want to look into later.
