In my code below I'm trying to have the user click on an image. Then pass that associated ID of that image (through XML it is associated).
Any help is welcomed:

I am working with an image similar to a watermark. This is what I am doing

my questions are How do I write the font in my customBlue color? and When i use the font in a smal
size th font gets distorted?

I am using the FormView control to create a form with a number of different type of form elements.
I'm adding the form elements one at a time and testing my insert so that if something doesn't work, I can identify the form element causing trouble.
My first two form elements were drop down lists and work fine. Now I've added a ListBox where the user can select multiple items from the list. This form element is optional, so in my stored procedure I have set the parameters value to default to null in case the user skips this form element. It is expected that the user will select 0-3 itmes from this list, so I wrote 3 parameters in the stored proc to handle incoming choices from the list.
Now when I submit the form, no matter whether I choose any items or not from the listbox, I get this error message:
'Procedure or function sp_GPRA_InsertActivity has too many arguments specified.'
At this point I have 6 parameters declared in my stored proc and 6 <asp:parameter> items in the source code of my aspx page.
I am wondering how the asp engine handles the submital for items from a list box? Since I am using FormView there is no code behind for me to look at to see how things are being processed for me. As a classic .asp programmer this is frustrating for me because I feel like I don't know what's going on behind the scenes.I have searched the internet high and low for anything on how ListBox selections are sent as parameters and I can't find a thing.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Try adding an event handler to the FormViews ItemInserting event and add a break point in the handler method. Then when you run it in debug mode you can see exactly what parameters are being passed (should be somewhere in the even argument object)

I have been coding .net and using VWD for less than a week. i don't know how to do any of that, though in concept I understand what you are saying.

Hopefully this helps:
Add this attribute to your FormView tag:
OnItemInserting="FormView1_ItemInserting"
(it got removed  - should read On Item Inserting all one word)
And then in your code behind:
protected void FormView1_ItemInserting(object sender, FormViewInsertingEventArgs args) {
}
(that was off the top of my head, the args type might be a bit wrong)
Now run the application in debug mode (just hit F5) and open the page. VS will pause the process at the break point and you'll be able to inspect the args object which I think contains the parameters.

Hi Everyone
I have created 4 5 webpages in ASP.net using VB.net.
They were all working fine.
But recently i have found that none of the buttons on the webpage is visible at runtime!!
all the other controll (including third party controlls) are visible and working.
Can anyone help me out on this.

Check the visible property of the controls. It should be true. If it is false then asp server doesn't create the html control for same. so it will not visible in any case.

If they are set as visible also check whether the HTML is being sent to the client, in which case it could be a CSS related problem.

Hi
Anybody know where I can get my hands on a simple to follow asp.net tutorial. I need to setup a site were a user can enter search criteria on current members of the site and there details are displayed.
I’ve seen a tutorial somewhere along these line before but just can remember were. I know a little asp but not much .net, so it’ll have to be simple.

hi friends,
i have been developing an asp.net application.
on one of its page, i have a button for which i have defined both events OnClientClick() & OnClick().
OnClientClick() event opens a web page which needs some information passed into session object by OnClick() event of the same button.
when i run the application, OnClientClick() event fires before OnClick() event and thus it results in an error.
i want to change the order of the events here. i want OnClick() event must fire before OnClientClick() event fires.
how can i do this ?
plz help me in this matter.

AFAIK, you can't....you can stop the Click handler executing by returning false from the function, but I don't think you can change the order.
Guess you're going to have to call the onclick handler, then register some client script afterwards...

I want to use an ActiveX in my ASPX/HTML page. Everything is fine except for the following requirement.
I want to display the context menu which is shown by browser in Information Bar (Install ActiveX Control...) on the right click of the html page where the ActiveX component is used.

I have alredy added a DataSet name Publications where I have add three tables.
Table(0) is Query_Volume_VolumeLessons
Table(1) is Query_Volume_Sectos
Table(2) is Query_Volume_Themes
Also put data on Table(0) from SQL SERVER DataBase
Now How can I put data to Table(1) From Table(0) , using a sqlQuery

hi ther iam new to asp.net , so when iadd any control to the first web form i can access the vb related file default.aspx.vb but when i add any control to anothe new one wheni double clicl on this control it takes me to the .aspx file to the script part as if there is no .vb one , so i run it it keeps telling that this control is not a memeber of this page ,?! any suggestions

no no for instance i made another webform and added a button anddouble click on it it gave me this on the aspx file :
