it depends on the date format u accept from the user...
i mean....what is the string u get from the user in txtDate.Text??
if it is of type say....July 24, 1983 then cDate(txtDate.Text) works fine....
check it out.....

I get Dat in dd/MM/yyyy format i-e 25/02/2007

Try System.DateTime.Parse(string s) for the format u have.

Hiii,
System.DateTime.Parse(string s), this going to work only if the input string format is "MM/dd/yyyy"
so try to convert the input string to "MM/dd/yyyy"
|
|
|
|
|
or you can use DateTime dt = new DateTime(Year, Month, Day), you must convert the txtDate.Text to three string first

So you want the original colour when mouse out but you've added a different colour to the onmouseout event? Hmm...maybe you should look at that again! (read: onmouseover)

(?<month>\d{1,2})/(?<day>\d{1,2})/(?<year>(?:\d{4}|\d{2}))
or "^(?0[1-9]|[1-9]|1[012])(?[- /.])(?0[1-9]|[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01])(?[- /.])(?(19|20)\d\d)"

Thanks but its not working. There is syntex Error

I think he forgot to ignore html:
I check this and it works:
^(?<month>0[1-9]|[1-9]|1[012])([- /.])(?<day>0[1-9]|[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01])([- /.])(?<year>(19|20)?\d\d)
|
|
|
|
|
try this one:
\d\d?/\d\d?/\d{4}
|
|
|

Even if you use a reg expression I would suggest using System.DateTime.TryParse.
You don't want to save something like "2/30/07".

nikhil1234 wrote: i want to store oleobject
What do you mean by "oleobject"? Is this just binary data?
nikhil1234 wrote: sql mysql oracle which data type i ahve to use for each
In SQL Server binary data can be stored in an image column in SQL Sever 2000 or a varbinary(max) column in SQL Server 2005.
MySQL and Oracle may have their own binary or blob (Binary Large OBject) types.

Hi
I am looking to control database concurrency by inserting a row in database containing session(userid), it checked against the table to see if the record is display only or editable. My problem is what if the app/computer shut down and the app not close properly, the record will be logged in the table.
What i need is something that would fire an action to remove the row whenever there is a close down of the app. I could use session_end but it just fire the action when session end, but what i want is when application end.
Please help.. Very urgent!!
Thanks
Nancy
