Hi!
Mobile development is new area for me, so excuse me for my ignorrance.
This is what I'm trying to do: Poorman's data transfer between mobile device and Desktop PC.
These are my limitations:
On desktop I have SQL Express server and Express Managemet studio. Server instance has a name. So way for RDA and no way for merge replication (I think, you correct me).
And no pocket Access aswell.
!!!Potential user doesn't like the idea of messing around ActiveSync, nor likes idea of manualy copying files via Windows explorer!!!
So my idea was to just copy XML files with data via IIS to virtual folder, so I can use that data in my Desktop app.
1. Is it possible?
2. I've created virtual folder and tested it, but I can't copy file from mobile app, nor I can access it from mobile app.
I've used File.Copy(...), but all I get is IO exception. I've used same path to virtual folder as in web browser (http://computer_name/vfolder/filename).
3. Help!

my application has a menubar displayed in the bottom of the dialog.
it runs on WINCE5.0.
when i hide the taskbar of windows, the menu bar doesn't slide down instead stays at the same position.
how do i handle this???

How could I detect the screen change? We want to write a software like remote desktop(but no control). I mean capture the desktop(Server) and then send the data to client. As we are under wince, we were needed to sent at least 2~5 whole screen data per second to satify the quality of software. When the screen change, the data of screen is also change, what should i do for this software? Any tips or address will be helpful. 3ks^_^.

Hi
I'm new to VB2005 and mobile programming especially using .net CF2.
At this moment I'm working to develop a GPS application. I'm having a problem to display GPS points which are in geographical coordinates (latitute and longitude or northing and easting). How to convert these coordinates into display/screen coordinate? Any basic example should be used to me.
