Hi all
I have a datagrid, which holds item name, item price, and its image(all from SQL Server database), what I need is when the user clicks on the image, I need the (id) for the item to be carried to the new page where I want to show more details about the item (expiry date, ...)

No, I show the images in the datagrid, but what I need in how to make the image links to another page with passing its key from the db.
I tried ... but an error occurrs...

Hi to all
I am trying to automat ms-word application using asp.net and COM component.
I am using visual studio 2005 and i have added Microsoft word 11.0 Object libarary as reference to my projcet.
I am creating new document, opening new document and saving it, using objects of Word.ApplicationClass and Word.Document Class. Up to building of application everything is fine but when i am trying to run it using IIS its giving error like "The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT))"
I request if anyone can help me out

Dear All,
We have a very peculiar problem in a Web / Intranet application that copies files to a machine in the LAN using the UNC.
The application is developed in ASP.NET / VB.NET and we are using a simple File.Copy in a Recursive function to copy the files. If the number of users doing the copy is less, no problem but when there are multilple copies going on we get the folowing error :
The handle is invalid. -- at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str) at System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String souceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) at System.IO.File.Copy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName)
Could you advise us pls??

hi,
i am confused with this question...anyone knows correct answer, please let me know.
An application using cookie authentication was working fine on another server. When moved to a new server, cookie authentication is not working correctly.
Which one of the following is the likely explanation of the above problem?
Choice 1 The new IIS server is not configured to allow anonymous access.
Choice 2 SSL is not properly configured.
Choice 3 The users are not correctly entering their passwords.
Choice 4 Passport authentication is not correctly configured.

hi,
how can u think in this way?? yesterday my employer sent the test.i already wrote the test and passed the test. while writing the test i didn't get the exact answers for few. but still i attempted. just want to verify are they correct or not?? i want to learn the subject, but not cheat the people over here or some one else.
i have my own principles. passing the test is not my own aim.
i just opened the site by expecting the answers for my questions. but really disappointed!

I think in that way because regularly there are people who post here that are trying to cheat on tests, get others to do their homework, and the like. I asked if you were doing the same, as nothing in your post indicated that you weren't.
It's a bit sad that we can't just trust each other, but that's the way it is. If your intentions are good, you have to indicate that in your post somehow, otherwise it will automatically raise the question of your motives if your post looks suspicious. In your case you were actually posting questions from a test, and as you didn't say that you had already taken the test, the natural assumption is that you wanted the answers because you are still taking the test.

yeah! u r correct. i mentioned that on my other question(Directories). i mentinoed that i took asessment test and i am not sure with the answers which i marked in my test. i forgot to mention in this question.
i am learning .Net using this site and microsoft site. whatever the doubts i have, immediately i post them in this forum. but u know yeserday when i was posting these questions (i posted 3 questions), it was almost 12:15 (mid night). after taking the test i tried to figureout the answers using google. but u know the questions are not theoritical. we can answer them if we have real time work experiance. so i posted the questions without thinking anything about them. here i know our friends are experianced.
but in ur way ur correct!

It works fine in IE, but seems nothing happens in Mozilla. COuld anyone help me out? There is a tree view of displaying Catagory and sub-catagories. they are both read from database. Anyhow it has no effect in firefox mozilla. help..

Hello all,
I have got three buttons and three list boxes(that will be populated dynamically). These list boxes will show some text that will be coming from the database and that text corresponds to the page name which needs to be stored in a array. I need to create an arraylist to hold page names and once the button is clicked the listbox should become visible with the relative text and once the list item is selected, it should look for the corresponding pagename in the arraylist and display a message. Can someone please help me this?

i have a doubt. where can we use hash table?? i mean i know what is Arraylist and what is Hash table. but i don't know where can we use these?? Arraylist can be used where we don't know about the upper bound..is it correct??

You will always know the upper bound in an array list. It is just dynamic (it changes).
A hashtable is keyed on another object.
When accessing the values through the indexer an ArrayList can only by accessed by the ordinal position of an object in the array.
When accessing a hashtable through the indexer you use the object used as a key (often this is a string).
