Possibly. Check out NetUserGetInfo() and NetWkstaUserGetInfo().

Hi !
Thanks for the reply..

I am using NetUserGetInfo() to get the user information and SID.
I used LookupAccountSid() to get the domain name.

Now if user is Local user, domain name will be local machine name and if he is a domain user then domain name will be set accordingly.

But how to determine this as domain-name and machine name can be same..

What do USER_INFO_2.usri2_logon_server and WKSTA_USER_INFO_1.wkui1_logon_server indicate in that situation?

I believe that you can use ::GetUserNameEx(...) with a name format parameter of NameSamCompatible. That format will reutrn the username in DOMAIN\USERNAME format, and I believe that if you are logged in locally, the DOMAIN portion will be the Computer Name (See ::GetComputerName(...)/::GetComputerNameEx(...) for the computer name).

Property Sheets and OnInitialize()

Hi, I'm displaying a Property Sheet (3 tabs) and whenever I select the tab I need the first time, my sheet displays correctly. However, subsequent selections do not display properly. Is there a way to force a OnInitialize() operation on the form again? Maybe something like an invalidate - though, I am programming in MFC.

What version of VC++ are you using? With v6, property pages use OnSetActive() when the page becomes active.

You can't use LPCSTR here because of the constantness. But how about this:

LPTSTR result[150];<br />
_tcsncpy(result, str.GetString(), 150);<br />

The person that replied to you made a typo, the code should be:

TCHAR result[150];
_tcsncpy(result, str.GetString(), 150);

If you are using a CString, you there is a built in operator that will return an LPCTSTR, so you do not have to use GetBuffer(...) or anything like that to get a const pointer.

why don't you just do :

CString str = "hello world";
 
(LPCSTR)str;    // used as you like
                // either used with strcpy to be copied, or passed as a function parameter

inline doesn't enforce the function to be actually inlined.
it's up to the compiler to decide if the function is simple enough.
moreover, the main goel in inlining functions is for earning some call time when the function is called multiple times ; main is called once AVAIK !

Using the keyword inline before a function does not necasserily mean it will be inline, it is more like a request to the compiler. In the case of main() the request would be declined.

I have a program that automatically shall send alot of emails through Outlook, and I want to get rid of the warning "A Program is trying to send email..." that pops up everytime you try to send an email.
First of all.. I know there are programs available that I could try and use like "ClickYes" and "Quick-Merge".

However I do not want to rely on another software to do the stuff for me. What I want to do is to add a hook that sees when the security warning dlg comes up and then closes it automatically by pressing the yes buttton before the five seconds are up.

I have tried the following and it almost works:

In the main program I then call:

This code finds the window and automatically activates the yes button in the security dialogue, but the press command that I send has no effect. If I click the button myself with the mouse the yes button has effect and it can be pressed before the five seconds is up.

Can anybody explain why the press in my code has no effect?

1. edit your message and move your code block into a <pre></pre> tags block Suspicious | :suss:

2. why do you add line breaks by hand ?

3. don't do what you're trying to do. this is a security reason. let the user know that your application uses his email id to send mails.

1. I dont have any pre /pre tags block. Normal C++ code.
2. To make it look nice? Smile | :)

3. It is a user request to add it. The program is sending hundreds of emails. Waiting 5 seconds per email will take considerable time, the problem has to be solved somehow.

then your application is badly designed. you shouldn't use Outlook for that then...
