hi,
I wanted to know if there is any way of running the internet explorer as the background process. i dont want the internet explorer to be displayed but it should invoke the iexplorer.exe and should show as a running process in the task manager.
If there is any link then plz suggest it to me.

May be it will not possible because the ASP.Net controls will be converted in the form of html when executed and to run html?, you can imagine the rest.

Hi,
I have a windows project developed in VB.Net.... when i run the exe of that project,i want the internet explorer to run in the background. just let me knw if it is possible to do this.
i want to open the internet explorer in the background.... this should always run till the exe ofthe project is running and once we exit the project, the background process of the internet explorer should be ended.

Yeah it may be possible, but I dont know about about that. It is possible because, if it would have not been possible how can we run the exe files from start button and other.
But I dont know much about window handlers and windows services. It could be possible from any one of these things. Refer these topics in google, deffinitely you may find some solution.

Hi,
I have this editable datagrid. the user is to select a name from a textBox that I created and press on the button ok only one row will be selected but there is a problem when the user tries to edit the whole table comes back but when presses ok again the column comes back in the editable mode. And I don't really want it to be like that. could some one help me and tell me how I can make it stable?

What you need to do is when you are updating the record there itself you need to rebind the datagrid after the updation.

Dear All,
i am making web application using asp.net ,C# (Visual studio 2005).i have a web page with couple textbox conntrol and dropdownlist controls(Some of them autopostback is true). In order to check whether this control is not blank i use requiredfielfvalidator control. my problem is i want all required validator only check at save event event not whenever there is postback. that is let say textbox control having postback true only check all its previous required validator. Not succesor validator
Is it possible. if yes how can i do it . please guide me

On Save Button Click wirte javascript code.No need to use requiredfieldvalidator control.

Use summary validator. but all requiredfieldvalidator's mode should be none

Hi, I’m in process of creating dlls for Web User Controls in ASP.NET v 2.0. Let me explain what exactly my problem is.
UserControl.ascx.cs to be wrapped into dll:

I’ve created the dll successfully with the name Search.dll. Also i referenced this dll inside my new project. Now, whenever I load this in my page, testMethod() is being called, consequently the output is "Yes Iam here Only". That’s cool. But I should be in a position to override Sample.testMethod1()Wrapped inside the dll with my project’s App_Code class say class1.cs.
This is my new class within the project in App_Code/Class1.cs.

{
public static string testMethod1()
{
return "Only1";
}
}
I also tried virtual & override with testMethod1() being defined as non-static member of that class. Nothing works.
My output should be: "Yes Iam here Only1"

pls help me out in following problem..
when asp page loads some text gets displayed in some cells of a table...
and i take inputs in a form on same page...and i used req. field validators..for that form validation..
when i click submit then validationsummary gets displayed...in response to invalid input..then on reset i clear out those cell elements in table as well as form elements using javascript...but i m not getting how to clear the errormessages in validation summary using javascript...

Hi,
Make sure the EnableClientScript is true (it is by default) if it then .NET takes care of rendering javascript and doing all the clearing. Also make sure the Display is set to dynamic.
