Call the UnbindThePortProgramatically() API?
What are you referring to? A socket port? How is it "bound"?

You'll need to create 2 worker threads for that. Make sure you use some kind of syncronization.
This should be simple in COBOL.

It seems a difficult task, good luck!

A good point to start with is A. Riazi's Bin2Iso[^] article. Also, good luck!

A good start might be to read these books:
Red Book (CD Digital Audio)
Yellow Book (CD-ROM and CD-ROM XA)
Orange Book (CD standard) (CD-R and CD-RW)
White Book (Video CD)
Blue Book (Enhanced CD, CD+G and CD-Plus)
Beige Book (Photo CD)
Green Book (CD-i standard) (CD-i)
Purple Book (DDCD)
Scarlet Book (Super Audio CD)
And then you will face the problems of:
Converting movies between different formats.
Converting movies between different TV system standards.
Converting all compressed audio formats to (and from?) the Red Book format.
Handling different brands and models of burners.
Etc. etc. etc.
It seems as a huge task. As said before, good luck.
