I don't mean to step into the middle of your battle here, but if you read the error message carefully, you will see that it is POSSIBLE to use MessageBox.Show(). And, I did in fact try it. I got the error you mentioned, until I used the ServiceNotification style.

MessageBox.Show("message", "Caption", 0,0,0, MessageBoxOptions.ServiceNotification);

Very strange to see that. But how does it work on client side is still a question. Or does it work only on localhost? I think it will work only on localhost. Have you tested this?

Just checked it. MessageBox is always populated on server desktop. It will create hell when thousands of user will access the site and there is message box for frequently occuring errors or events. This is same like showing message box from a console application. I dont see any use unless and until somebody is continously sitting in front of server and tracking the errors. I found this link.

Are you talking about a datagrid or datagridview?
If so, is the dropdownlist a column within the dataset?
I'm going to need a little more information about the control you're trying to resize, what controls it is in, and where the data is coming from.

I want use the metod public T Find (Predicate<t> match) to find an string in myList.
But I have no idea how can I find a string as a parameter.

I know only this way:
List<string> mylist = myList.FindAll(demo);

Is this way possible:
List<string> mylist = myList.FindAll(demo(object x));

From the documentation, it doesn't look like it would work, but I would try it to see if it did. Maybe the error message will give you insight.

As a (bad) workaround, create a search criteria member variable of your class.
for example:

private string FindAllSearchCriteria;

Set that before the findAll

this.FindAllSearchCriteria = "whatever";

then call

List mylist = myList.FindAll(demo);

Inside your demo method, use the this.FindAllSearchCriteria as your criteria for the search.

Hi,
Currently I use the following method in the presentation layer to capture the changes in a gridview control on a windows form:

DataSet data;

//Added records...
data = gridViewDataSet.GetChanges(DataRowState.Added);

//Modified records...
data = dsEmployeesList.GetChanges(DataRowState.Modified);

//Deleted records...
data = dsEmployeesList.GetChanges(DataRowState.Deleted);

So basically I loop through each record in the grid (In the presentatioin layer) and call the necessary stored procedures (in the datalayer) according to the state of the row.

This works fine.

My question is, there is no transaction.
So, should I stop using this method and use .update of DataAdapter or is there another method please?

I was thinking about transaction of connection but do not think I can use this in the presentation layer.

Hi, I'm having problem with hwo to get date.
I want to get a date of each end of the month in the current year.
so, if now is 2006 I want to get:
31 januari 2006, 28 Pebruari 2006 ....... 31 December 2006.

Then I want each date to be inserted into MySQL Table Field (with DATE type).

Hi,
You can try using DateTime.DaysInMonth(2006, 10);
Where first parameter is an year and second one is month. You can put int i and run the same function for 12 times.

Array.Reverse();

there should be more flexibale methods.
but this came to my minde right now knowing that you have some conditions that it should be done using an array.

Try this...

string string1 = "String To Reverse";
string string2 = string.Empty;
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();

char[] sArr = string1.ToCharArray();
for (int j = sArr.Length - 1; j >= 0; j--)
sb.Append(sArr[j].ToString());

string2 = sb.ToString();

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
