Hi, i need to transform the contents of a richtextbox (rtf) to an image.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated

What have you done so far?

I display some text in the richtextbox which is bold and italic simple formating. All i want to do is get an image of the richtextbox and use in the DrawImage function I am calling this from my function, printDocument1_PrintPage.
e.Graphics.DrawImage(imageName, new Point(0, 0));

If you're using .net 2.0 framework you can use the controls DrawToBitmap method.
Let the rich textbox draw itself to a bitmap, then use the Graphics DrawImage method.

This might help:
Bitmap screenCap = new Bitmap(this.richTextBox1.Width, this.richTextBox1.Height, PixelFormat.Format64bppArgb);
Graphics myScreen = Graphics.FromImage(screenCap);
int nX = this.Left + this.richTextBox1.Left + SystemInformation.Border3DSize.Width*2;
int nY = this.Top + this.richTextBox1.Top + SystemInformation.CaptionHeight + SystemInformation.Border3DSize.Height*2;
myScreen.CopyFromScreen(nX,nY, 0, 0, this.richTextBox1.Size, CopyPixelOperation.SourceCopy);
myScreen.DrawImage(screenCap,new Point(0,0));

I want to have a single Add New button at the bottom of the Gridview that inserts new cells that I can add information. The app is written in C#.net using asp.net2.0. If any can help please let me know.

I want to set windows xp registry key to make possible by right click on a file see the item = "Open with AAplic.exe" and run AAplic.exe when the user select that!
How?

|
|
|
|
Something like this may help:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\openaaplic]
@="Open with AAplic"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\openaaplic\command]
@="C:\\< mypath >\\AAplic.exe %1"

Yup. This technique works great. Every time I sit down to work on a computer, one of the first things I do is set up the registry like this so that the menu for .dll files and .ocx files include a Register and an Unregister option, calling regsvr32.exe.

Actually, though, I apply this to the dllfile and ocxfile nodes.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Register]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Register\command]
@="regsvr32.exe '%1'"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Unregister]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Unregister\command]
@="@regsvr32.exe /u '%1'"
Then, of course, the same for ocx files, replacing dllfile with ocxfile. Works great!

I could ask someone here at work but ill post this question here..
Lets say I want to setup a client application and I want to send another application jobs to do but send them via the client app on a wireless network. Do you think I should use something like soap to do this? Or is there a better way?
Thanks.

Web services will work fine. If the apps are going to be located behind the same firewall, use remoting.
|
|
|
|

I will have to look into remoting.
Thanks!

I heard from a discussion lately that there is a problem in .NET 1.1 that Microsoft is not going to fix. Therefore the particular client needs to upgrade to .net 2.0 because of that particular issue.
Trying to remember what that issue was that I heard, but do not remember.
Any thought of that could be please?
