Actually I have now solved this - at about two in the morning, I worked it out.
Calling endedit on the bindingsource component doesn't (for reasons best known to MS,) pass through to the DGV that's bound to it. So to make my code work correctly I have to call endEdit on the DGV first and then call endEdit on the bindingsource. I call this very strange behaviour, but at least now I can move on.

i've never tried doing this, but i would probably try putting a browser control on the fom and loading the falsh in that.

When I launch application from IDE or from debug folder, it works well, I mean ThreadAbortException is processed as expected. But when I run the the same application from Release folder, it doesn't catch this exception and always throws an unhandled exception ThreadAbortException. How can I get rid of this bothering problem? Thank's in advance.

You need to find the code where the exception happens and catch it there.

You cannot catch a ThreadAbortException. While your catch{}-Block is executed, ThreadAbortExceptions just re-throw themselves after the catch block. If you Abort a thread, it's really going to terminate. Don't use Thread.Abort to send signals to other threads, you can never know where the thread was when it is aborted and might leave your application in an inconsistent state.

hi all
i have created a dll ,, and there is a function in this dll name (somehitng)
i have put this dll in an other prject,s root and every thing goes ok after creating a reference to this dll ..But problem is that when i debug this project the controll moves to that function (something) in that dll and all the code is seen clearly and i dont want that ,,,
purpose is that i dont want any other can see my code in that dll,, how to do that please tell me

Try using doing a release build for the DLL project you created and use that DLL in the Release folder of ur DLL project in other projects this will avoid ur issue.

Problem ois still
i have created a release built for my dll project and in my other oroject(test) i copied dll from release folder and put it in the debug folder of my other project (test)
but during debuggin when i press f11 the controll moves to my class in that dll and i can see my code clearly it is so funny , why ?
where am i wrong

Just to make sure, Have you added the class library project in the project which you are coding on right now ? If yes please remove that project (Dll project from new one)

Normally int is equal to Int32, but from what I have read, int is actually an Int64 when running an x64 edition of Windows. You should be carefull when developing applications that both need to run on x64 as well as x86.

Where have you read that?
According to the documentation[^] the int data type is an alias for the System.Int32 data type. A 32 bit integer should be a 32 bit integer even in x64, right?

The difference is that on the third line you are only casting the value of Ctime, the 1 value is still an int. If you want to cast the value after the calculation, you have to put parentheses around it:
Uint16 b =(Uint16)(Ctime - 1);

hi guys can u tell me what is the most strongest and secure way that if
i want my file cannot be accessed by any one on other system on the sam LAN where my PC resides ,,, means i dont want my files to be copied ,,and seen, although i have not shared even a single file on the network ,, but i dont think it is the most secure way
and second thing i want to know if my system is shut down and no one knows my winxp passowrd so if my system is secure against any smart and clever attempt to see and copy my system files ??????(is there any way to detect my system password and copy my confidential files)

you also have to set the win access rights to no access....
Do you realy want nobody to copy them, or only than noone can make sense from them. For the second encryption would be the best way. Either use the windows encryption(very easy) or even safer, use an other tool which uses a Key from a USB-stick or even an external Decryptionchip (never making the key publik). By this you can garantee (depending on the way you go) that even if anyone can copy the files, he cannot make sense of them. It would be the same if he had copied a big random number.

I am pretty new at this but I have managed to create a pretty cool looking Custom Control for the Windows Mobile 5 devices.
Its a simple button but has a nice faded background and allows images and text. The control has all the usual events and it all works great when running however in design time I cannot work out how to catch the enabled event.
I can create a simple form and enable and disable my control while running and it greys out the image etc but I would really like to have this happen in the design environment.
How can I do this?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys,
I am using .NET Framework 1.1 in my application. But when i tested the application on a machine which did not had the framework installed, it asked me to install it from a MS link which i have not programmed. Is that something which Microsft does automatically?? I know it might be a silly questions, but i am really curious to know

Applications developed for/in .Net requires .Net Framework installed on the target machine to execute the .Net Applications.

It depends on what you were testing. Setups creating in Visual Studio contain code that checks for the installed version of .NET and prompt for the download if it isn't installed. Your app doesn't do that on its own
