Hi,
The problem I have is that I build up the URL string via code behind functions and variables, and then sending the user to a page in a window with no toolbar, directory, etc. The user should also not see to which page he is being redirected. If he goes "view source" on the new page or check the properties, that is ok... but he should not see the page URL in the status bar or in the location URL field.
Will this still work if I use the link button?

You can still use your mehtods to create a dynamic URL and still keep it on client side. For example you could use inline code to output the dynamic string built by your methods.
something like:
">My Link
where instead of the hardcoded string you would call your method (make sure it is protected if you use ASP.NET 2.0 or public if ytou use 1.1).
In order to open a window with certain options I think you will need to use window.open

Yes, for the new window, I use a window.open to open the window.

guess u should loop through the controls of type TextBox and get the text property of them

try to loop through the this.controls(index)
check the type, if it's textbox then get the text

OK...
i did a sample code (vb script) for what u want but u need to convert it to C#
first add a panel and add the dynamic text boxes to that panel
then do this

'Whatever code u like <br />

I tried. My C# coding is :
foreach (Control ctl in this.PlaceHolder1.Controls)

string strr = ctl.
Response.Write(strr);
}
In the bold part there is no specific (.Text) to get its value. But there is .ID propety which gives its name. Any idea reg. this.

You need to do this with javascript.....basically, (and without giving the game away too much ) you need to manipulate the object's .style.left / .style.top properties (so the usual way to do it is to use a DIV with POSITION:Absolute)...
You'll also need to hook up some onmousedown, onmouseup handlers, and an onmousemove handler...

hw r u all, i have a prblm in datagrid,i have three dataset from different queries and assign to one datagrid.the problm is that whn i assing a one dataset to the grid the data in the grid is not shown properly.
i mean the first dataset data is come in the first row,secnd dataset data is come in the second row and the third dataset data is come in the third row.(all dataset have one row record)
Bt i wnt to show the whole data in one row.
ds.merge(ds1)
ds.merge(ds2)
datagrid.datasource=ds
databind()

I think you have to join your tables. So that you can use only one dataset.

There is no implementation for the message box in asp.net like vb.net desktop application
instead u need to use the "window.open" for opening a new window
"window.alert" for messages and "window.confirm" for checking yes/no messges

You can't use a MessageBox in ASP.NET, as that would show up on the server, and the server side of a web application does not have a user interface. Use a Javascript alert:
window.alert('The message.');

You can not do this in asp.net.
You have to use Javascript to do display an alert message.
and the function is->Alert("Message")
