how to hide title bar of the page?

Hi friends

i want to hide title bar of the page.

Is it possible in asp.net?

You can set title of a page in ASP.NET 2.0 by setting Page.Title property.
However, you can't hide this title. Maybe javascript could help, don't ask me how, ask google Smile | :)

Problem with GetElementID in User Control

Hi, I'm programming in asp.net 2003. I designed a search utility using javascript in asp.net. The code wis working well in the asp.net page. I'v a text box called txtSearch.
To reference this textbox value, I'm using this javascript in a javascript function called at the onkeypress event of the text box.

var pre = document.getElementById ("txtSearch").value;.//(I'm running it in IE 4 now)

Now I want to convert it to a user control. Sigh | :sigh:

This statement is not working for the user control. I tried to trap the value with this:

var sndr = window.event.srcElement;
var pre = sndr.text;

alert (pre);

the alert showed "undefined"....
can u tell me what r the other ways of getting the value?..pls

u have to do some functionality before the getElementById method
u need to concat the user control instance id then "_" then the element name like this:

var strSearch = "ucUserControl1_" + "txtSearch";
document.getElementById(strSearch );

This way u can access it

Hi Friends,

I want to run an Client based .exe (like calc.exe) from the aspx page of my site. I donot want to use the .wsh file. Is there any way??

Not if you don't install some stuff on client side (like ActiveX or so).

Imagine security problems, if it would be possible to run from page on internet any .exe file on your computer!

But i would like to use ActiveXObject in my javascript for running an exe in the client machine. I found that activexobject do not have any method that can be used for running an exe. Are there other ways to do it???

Hi folks,
I have an extremely simple question. I have a datagrid that consists 18 edititemtemplate columns.But When I try to edit these columns then I can only view 16 of them. how can I view and edit all of these columns.

Your question is not simple at all, there can be many reasons why you can not see all of your columns.

Search for timers in javascript
u call one function and it calls another function after the timer interval has ended
the two function are window.open ...

I have to prepare a survey like a newsletter, then send it as email to users. Users will fulfill form on EMAIL, then will click send button to send theirs data.

To do this, first i wanted to show what is happining if the user clicks button. but i see nothing is happining. Javascript function is not running. My code is this. What is wrong?

Hi All

I have two dropdownlist.first is ddl_category and second is ddl_op

when i select value from ddl_category i want to set this value into ddl_op.

declare str

str=ddl_Category.Selectedvalue.text

I write ddl_op.selectedItem.Text=str

But it's not working.I am not getting exact problem.What happened in this situation?Can u help me how to write and assign value in dropdownlist in aspx page?

But my both dropdownlist are filled using javascript codeing.So it's not possible to set autopostback property to true.

Does both of your dropdownlists consists of same items and on selection change of the first dropdownlist you want to set the same for the second one?

Hi Monika,

create a function in jscript to set the text of 2nd ddl and
call this function on 1st ddl's indexchanged event at client side.
