Hi Guys,
I have an issue that there must be a simple answer too that I am not seeing. I am developing an Intranet application, where the client wants a Yes/No Megbox, for some input, We are able to use VBscript for this, (All Browser are IE and this is a one Local Application.)
In the previous application in 1.1 there was the same msgbox, that simply wrote the answer to a hidden field on the form using
Document.Form1.OPType.value= "0"
We want to replicate this in ASP.net 2.0
and I realise that they have chnaged the DOM because of Master Pages, so I have attempted to write to the new model like this
document.aspnetForm.OPType.value = "0"
but I am getting an Script error?
Does anybody know how to write hidden field using Vbscript in ASP.net 2.0.
P.S
I am well aware of Vbscript and it's limitations in browsers and Internet Blah Blah Blah , so please avoid answering the question with that advice, as I have a specific reason for doing it this way which I do not want to go into.

No, the DOM has not changed. If you put a control in a container (like a Content control), it's id changes. You can use the ClientID property of the control to find out the id that you can use in client script to access it.

Thanks, I compounded the problem because my hidden control was placed in a user control inside of a container control, I have now got it .

Hi all,
I am creating an dynamic page , in that page there will be 3 (for example) div layers, each layer has it's contents such as calender, link, news likw this. The admin of this site can change the menu(Div layer) order, assume that Calender is place 1 and Link in place 2 and News in place 3, if the admin drag the div layer 3(News) over the div layer 1(calender) and drop there means, the oreder should changed as News is place 1 and Calender in place 2 and Links in place. I found solution for drag and drop, but i cant able to get an idea for the dragover or replacing the position. Plz can any one suggest me to how to do this using javascript??

After drag and drop of News on the Calender position the apperance should become like this:

i want to trap keypress event in textbox control in asp.net with c#. i.e. if user press wrong key that key didn't work. only those keys work hows works is defined.

You can't do that using ASP.NET. The keypress occurs on the client computer, so you have to use client script, i.e. Javascript.

may be this is the problem of your td width.remove the width of the td from aspx page.perhaps now it will not wrap.

hi,
I am using asp.net1.1. i am using IE treeview web control.
In the page load method of codebehind file(C#) i am constructing the tree from DB.
i have a submit button where user can update nodedata into DB. When the user clicks the submit button i want the tree to be constructed with the new update values.
if i press F5 then i can see the updated value. without pressing F5, how can the tree be updated.
i mean when the submit button is pressed i want to execute the event(submit_click) first then the page_load should be executed.how can i achieve it.
