I have a report that create on WEB FORM.
The report will have a datagrid with 6 fix row.
When on each of the report, there will some time need to trigger to second page when there have more than 6 row of records. The datagrid can be see through paging, but when need to print out, it impossible to print out the datagrid all pages.
Can anyone help on some method that allow me to print out all pages on datagrid on my report, please? Thank You.

Hi,
I have a label control which is placed in DataList. The value of the label bounds using DataBinder.Eval...method.
Now in the code of its ItemCommand i want to retrieve the value of the label. I know the process that used in VB.NET but dont know how it will be done in C#..
I did...
string str=Convert.ChangeType(e.item.FindControl("lblName"),typeof(Label)).ToString();
But this line does not gets its Text value...
Any one can help me plsss.......

You can get that like this:
string str=((label)e.item.FindControl("lblName")).Text

the line of code Convert.ChangeType(e.item.FindControl("lblName"),typeof(Label)) will return specific object with the specified system.type(Label)
not the text of label so u can replace string str with Label object and then use it to get text
so u can use this
Label lbl=Convert.ChangeType(e.item.FindControl("lblName"),typeof(Label));
string requiredtext=lbl.Text

Sir,
My application is running on intranet , around 50-60 computers are accessing that application . Now my problem is , I want to lock that particular record during updation , untill that record is updated , so the particular record not be taken for updation by multiple users simultaneously.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for but you might want to look into sql transactions.
On the other hand if you are using DataSets you might want to check into "UserOptimisticConcurency".

hi,
i am creating an application which will save a .xml file on the disk.
i need to provide a way to open this file from within my page.
if i give the path in ... tag it is not opening after clicking on the link. the link which is shown in the status bar of ie looks like this file:///a/abc.xml
the xml file is supposed to open in its default editor when i click on the link.
Pls help.

I have given datasource to datagrid which has 3 columns now after binding the grid at Itemdatabound event i have to add runtime a new column which shud be placed at 4 index of the grid( my data source contains only 3 column).Is there any solution to it.

Just u make a template column at index no 4 and set visible false
during the bind the data u can manipulate at run time template column.
