I think u didn't get wht actually i am trying to do.
I have a web application, on my ftp server there are video files which i
need to play on my page.
Now when i get the files from the ftp server they are video files,
And i want them to convert to .flv files so that i can play them in the browser.
Hope i am able to explain it now.

Hi,
i have a desktop application in which i have a datagrid.
each row of the grid have few dropdowns.
now after the user make the changes in the grid, i want to just bulk update the grid in the database, i dont want to include the rows in the update which have not been updated.

Well for this, you can use the datagrid row properties to find out which are the changed/modified rows and likewise only update those rows in the DB.
Does that answer what you looking for?

I use an IPCChannel to relay information between 2 apps on the same PC. This all goes well. The problem is when I close the server side application, and then start it again I can not re-establish the IPCChannel untill I close the client app that connected to the previous server side app too.So I guess somewhere the .NET framework still keeps track of that IPCChannel. I tried to run Channelservices.UnRegisterChannel on the server side app before I close it and running an UnRegisterChannel on the client side too, but to no avail.
Does anybody know how I might fix this problem?

Reinitiate the remoting setup request by dynamically performing the steps to register the channel and connect. You need to ping the Server and when it becomes online, reinitiate the remoting framework from the client.

but i dont know how i should test the reading?

one document is there in codeproject only.what you do use one female com port connector and connect the two pins with a wire ,i dont know the pin no but read the document you will get that one.and run your application ,mine is working fine.i will search out and will let you know the pin nos

Acctually I also dont know the answer perfactly coz I didnt realize the problem ,but I can suggest you one solution ,try that one and inform me if that works or not ,ok?
You should convert your string in to UTF8 encoding first and than send it,or you can use StringBuilder with UTF8 ,Which is there in System.Text namespace, try that out and let me know ok?

lo,
the text i want to encode comes form textbox.text, so this is a string
if i use encoding.utf8.getbyte(textbox.text) i get an error because it
is'nt a char[] char.
do you know how to solve this or am i going the wrong way here?

Hi,
You can try using MD5. There is an encoder built in VS2005. However you must know that MD5 cannot be decoded so if you want to test the input password with a stored one you should convert the input password to MD5 and then compare it with the stored password. Search MSDN for MD5.

Hello
I have a C# application that uses several Libraries (Crystal ...). The application always runs well.
Since a few days I focus the problem, that I can start my application only with the debugger (the Debug and the Release version).
If I start the *.exe directly, the application crashes ... Most times an 'Out Of Memory' exception occurs.
I added some debugging output and I see, that I enter the Main() but then it crashes ...
The application also crashes, if I take an old (former running) *.exe file.
Do you have any hint how I could handle it?

Set either TabControl.SelectedIndex or TabControl.SelectedTab property.

Yes. Use a timer to toggle between tabs, and on elapsed duration, send a click event to the tabcontrol with the required paramaters, simulating as if the user clicked. This will make teh tab control change the active tab, based on which tab index was passed in the event handler call

Hi,
I am writing one applicaion. When user clicks the close button the application minimizes to system tray. I need to add some animation like adding a tail to applicaon, or one like added in Windows Live Messanger. How can I achive this?
