cannot be done, sorry.

client doesn't have handle to the open/save/run dialog so you can't pick up on an event, and the opening window doesn't have a reference of the open window (which launched open/run/save) to close it.

Hello ,

I am a asp.net c# programmer i am in a problem ie,in my site i get a bulk data from another site it contains online image url also but i have to download that image into my site for i want to resize..can anybody help me to solve this this.ie, how to download an image from one site in dynamic that's it...i am waiting for your reply...alex.

i need a clearer explanation but can you 'asynchronously' download the image in an iframe, this way your page loads and the iframe can load at its own pace.

i assume you need to get the image url from the bulk data so you can dynamically set the src of the iframe in codebehind to a page on your site and pass that page the images url, then the page loads the image into the iframe

How to remove centre line for gridview ?

I have a gridview to show data. i need to remove/invisible the vertical line inside the gridview,so the vertical line look like not exist.
I need to set it at stylesheet, so , how i code it at css file ?

set GridLines property to horizontal or none, then set borders how you please.

Hey guys,

I'm writing an asp.net 3-tier application that uses data-source component, business-logic component and application component.
The BL and the DS components are designed as singleton classes, so when clients request for data, they get the same BL object (and DS object) so IIS won't create multiply BLs/DS's objects.

I want to know how the IIS manages the requests.
if IIS will create a thread for each client there will be a race condition between those threads that want to run the same method.

if so, I probably create the methods as "synchronized code region" which means that only one thread can enters a method at a time...

do I need to get into it at all?...

Dont have your answer but maybe this help.

When using IIS and webservice then the IIS "fire" a new thread for each SOAP function call.

Hi there,

Just stumbles across this post. I can't see how IIS is *smart enough* to do this as the accessor to get a Singleton is static, so everyone has a chance to get it at the same time as you mention, the race condition.

Therefore each client will obtain the singleton and have it within their HttpContext of their Session, and be able to access the same singleton concurrently.

Won't they ??

hi dear

i have a placeholder on my form and on page load i am adding a radiobuttonlist control to this.

now, i need to populate the same radiobuttonlist control on click of a button , but i am unalbe to get the control from placeholder, while debugging it is confirmed that radiobuttonlist is added to placeholder control. but i am not able to get it on a button click and populate.

please provide your support.

If it appears in the Controls collection of the PlaceHolderControl then you can simply get reference to it using the Controls collection or the FindControl method.

hi dear

i have a datagrid which contain a checkbox as its one of child control...

this checkbox has its autopostback property true.

now what i am trying to do is some manipulation on another child control of same datagrid on this checkbox's checkedchange event. this can be done with the help of the datagrid_ItemCommand event only, but i am not remembering how to make a call to this fucntion on the checkboxchekedchange event.

i.e. <asp:checkbox id="chbk" runat="server" autopostback="True" oncheckedchanged="???">

now what to write in place of "???"

i know it is datagrid_ItemCommand() but how to pass its parameter ..... this is the problem...

Hi all,

I need an suggestion, I am trying to send an mail (client will send mail in this format) from Outlook express in an specified format as,

Client Name : client name
Urgent : Yes
Date_planning[dd/mm/yyyy] : 29/08/2006
Analyses : Any text

In my application i am reading that mail and has to split it into four coloums i.e client name,Yes,29/08/2006,Any text.... seperatly, finally i will store it in the database with field names as cliend_id, status,date_plan,analysis.

I am using asp.net to split this and i am using ":" as starting index "&vbcrlf" as ending index such i am reading the in between string. But when i implement it i am facing an problem, it's the whole body content is coming as string and storing in the first coloum itself i.e as "Client Name.................. Any text"

So i cant able to split it, can any one suggest an way to send the mail such that i can seperate easily, else how to spli the recived mail.

plz guide me.............

How to set the \n as you said??

and set the certain variable according to ur need.
or see the paypal support for more info.
the main thing is the variable u will use for transaction.
