There are times where usefull information are there in forum replies like in lounge for usefull software and stuff,
It would be nice if that reply or the thread can also be book marked.
I am not sure if anything similar is already available.

Each post has a "get link" link, just bookmark that and you're done

yes i am doing that already for posts and articles, but it is specific to only the computer.
If you change or format the computer you loose that info. Since CP allows to bookmark articles and Chris said that there is no limit to bookmarking, so it would be cool to bookmark forum posts as well.

Prakash, actually I asked this long before. I got replies pointing to FireFox + CPHog. I think the feature is there.

I've never used this forum before (I normally hang out in the C# forum), so forgive me if this suggestion doesn't belong here...
I suggest CodeProject have an XNA discussion forum (Microsoft's newly released gaming framework/IDE).
I'm going to try to start immersing myself in XNA programming, and I think it would be cool if CP had an XNA-specific discussion forum.

I would be content if we could just get more forums for general categories: Multimedia (for Audio/Video, and 2D & 3D Graphics), Design, UI and Usability, etc.

This is not so much a suggestion as a query. For the last few months I have been having nothing but trouble when browsing CP, I am always having to refresh the page due to a failed load. I realise this problem is unique to me since I live in China, but I was wondering if there is a second server I might try?

Its not unique to you, with the number of users at peak times there are often failures. Just refresh and be patient

I think the great Chinese firewall has a lot to do with this problem. There are hundreds of sites blocked and most others censored. They even have the nerve to check our emails. There is an ongoing fuss with Microsoft and China about this, China wants the right to view our hotmail account, but microsoft are refusing, so every other week hotmail becomes blocked.
Honesty, I have a 4mb connection behaving like 28k (no joke). The only think I am able to browse with no problem are Chinese sites. And just about all of those have embeded viruses, malicious scripts and damned annoying Banners following the mouse around.
I'm now looking for a fast, reliable proxy server which might help me bypass most of this hassle.

I really must check my email more often.
Thanks for the link. I'm using the server now and it seems a little faster (not much) but it may be due to the time being 6am here. I'll give it a try for a few days and see if there are any improvments.
On a side note, every connection outside of China has a speed restriction. Everything from simple email to torrent downloads. I just can't find a way to beat it  (

This is something I've been wondering about for awhile. Apologies if it already exists somewhere on the site and I've missed it.
Occasionally, I get contacted privately by people who have read my articles and are using my code. Sometimes I don't mind helping these people out (privately). But more and more I would rather they use my articles' message board to post their questions. The main reason being that my answers can help others with the same problem. If I answer them privately, my answer only benefits them. Also, it would hopefully mean that I would only have to answer a question once on the message board. Others with the same problem could find the answer there.
I've gotten into the practise of redirecting these private queries to my articles' message boards, but was wondering if Code Project could provide a guide some where that would suggest the best way to approach authors in order to get their questions answered (such as posting the questions to the message boards).
