Hello !!!
Iam begginer for .net frame work,could any help me to sort out my problem.
I developed asp.net project in one system and I want to trasfer it to another system and there I want to execute that application .
Could any one help me how to do that thing in detail .

Do you want to access the application from another system, if so then you just give the system_name in place of localhost.

If it's in same network just give IPAddress of the system that you are accessing in place of localhost
Otherwise copy the whole project and paste in some other system
Create Virtual Directory for the project so that it maps physical directory
and run web application . Make sure that Webinfo path is correct

Ok, it's really hard!

I have a Asp.Net 2.0 Menu control with non-databound items. By example: Insert, Update, Delete, etc.

Then, I wish what when click in "Delete" menu item, appears one javascript alert before the postback (the MenuItens are handled by postback and not by NavigateUrl).

How I can do to this work? Here is the Sample menu:

You can use the DynamicItemTemplate to customise the dynamic menu items (StaticItemTemplate for the static items), below is an example:

You can also use the LinkButton instead of the hyperlink element in the DynamicItemTemplate and provide the handler for the button click event. In addition, you can use your own menu control instead of the built-in one in this simple case.

i want to know how can i call a code behind method written using c# with the help of javascript.

e.g. i have two dropdownlist one is populated with the names of states on pageload and i want to populate another with the city name on selection of the first dropdownlist. i want to use javascript for this to avoid page postback .

If you want to call server code without doing a postback, you will have to use AJAX.

Hi,
I have to invoke the parameterized webservice. for example
"http://dsrepct:8080/sanjose/services/Contract?method=getCustomerInfoList& in2=CHARLOTTE&in1=3&in0=5

how could i do that and i have to bound the values to dropdownlist which are custname as text and cust no as value.
Please anybody let me know the process.

but these split files for destop application. they want fully qualified path for source as well as for new pdf file. i want to use source as well as destination dir in the current application folder

i have two radio buttons, customer and management. I want wen the customer radiobutton is checked the management button should be unchecked and vice versa?
I tried it the same as in normal VB but it doesnt work

Did you try the radiobuttonlist. If you and two list items you should only be able to choose one. Also, if you are not using JavaScript then you will have to set the autopostback = true on the controls.

The radio buttons have to have the same name to be radio buttons. If they don't, you have two groups of radio buttons with one button in each

You could do something like this.

Response.Write("<script language='javascript'>function doSubmit(){var form = getElementById('" + AspButton.ClientID + "'); form.submit(); }</script>");

This will first get the form object and then call the submit() function on it. Assign a call to this funtion on the buttons onClick event and you are home free.

Hello,

I have developed a set of web controls that can be used in our content management system. Each control has a display and edit mode. While in edit mode the user can add text to the label control or select a picture to display in the image control...etc. When in display mode the text and image are simply displayed to the visitor of the site. A general CMS in short.

However i created the controls so that the display mode is rendered by a control inherited from a base control. Thereby it is possible to have the same content rendered differently based upon environment settings (parter site X or Y, ...). The environment determines which control is used in display mode.

The next step (and the problem) is that i want to be able to develop new display controls or update existing controls and put them online without restarting the application.
Dropping a new DLL in the bin folder induces an application restart.
An alternative is loading the new dll in a different application domain, but i presume this comes with a significant performance hit (excessive marchalling).

Anyone an idea on how to proceed ?
