I am not sure whether the datagrid is having the feature of creating a new record. But you can achieve is two ways:
First one is get the field values from the user, insert the record in the database and then again bind the datagrid.
Second way is that create a blank row for the datagrid and allow the user to create a row for that.

hi,
I am trying to store all the errors in a text file in the root drive of my machine.
But whenever i try to access the file it gives and exception that access to the file is denied.

plz help.
I dont want to store file in my application.

Ex:

i found the solutions myself... yeah!
Actually, i was trying to make the file in c:\
but if i make the file in any directory , i will allow.
Bingo.!!!

Hi,
I'm thinking on a project (not prof.) in which will work like MS SharePoint. I mean users will login and update files and manage them (delete, send, update etc.).. My question is if ASP .NET will work fine for this project? Because noone outside the network may login, only network participants (an intranet?).

Yes, I think ASP.NET will work just fine. For the authentication part, you may consider using the Windows mode to authenticate any user who accesses the application.

Is there a way to prevent ASP.NET selecting the UI culture automatically?
Actually, if I set the UI culture using Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture, all the Global resources are selected correctly, but all the Local resources are still selected following the browser's settings.
I'd like to select the culture and ui culture only via code.
I also added to the web.config file the tag <globalization enableclientbasedculture="false"></globalization>, with no effect.

How can I fix this? (I'm using ASP.NET 2.0)

Soory for the long post, but the error is very long.

i created excel file with createTextFile object.. i am able to pass the values to the sheet.. but i am not able to include images in excel through asp..
i created image using obj.writeline("....<imag src="">....

").. but at this time image is getting without excel cells...
please help me regarding...

Do you mean the System.Windows.Forms.CurrencyManager object or anything else? Well, if this is the object you mean, then you should remember that it's mainly used in the windows form application, not asp.net. In this case, you might want to be more specific about what you may want to do.

Hi,
I am dynamically creating asp.net controls at runtime. I have 2 dropdown lists. When I change the item selected in the first drop down list I want to load the second drop-down list. How shall I add the SelectedIndexChanged event handler for the first dropdown list? Please let me know at the earliest since this is really urgent.

Did you create a variable of dropdownlist? If yes use that variable to select the event.

Is there a way to allign textbox and Labels in ASP.NET 2.0.

Tried to allign through designer but it does not seem to work well. Tried
to change using in code but that does not seem to work well.

Is there a way to say where to keep the text box and labels correctly( like x ,y coordinates
or any other such thing

It should be quite easy in the designer. I don't recall exactly how it's done right now, but you can align an object to any other object in the design. I think that you just press alt, control or shift when you move the object, and it will snap to any objects vertically and/or horizontally.
