seems to be back in form, today. Either column on the left has gotten wider or the forum column has been made wider. But it seems that any forum I go to now, I have a horizontal scroll bar to scroll for about 25 maybe 50 pixels. ( IE 6 on a 1024 x 768 screen). Thanks.

Yeah, I noticed the page have become wider. I tweak one thing, another thing breaks  I'll look into it.

I think you need to look into it again. 
I think it is happening in the part of the page that has a three column list of all the forums with their post counts. For some reason it just seems to be creeping wider each day.

This is a weird one. It could be a message or subject line in a forum message that's doing it. Next time you see it take a look at every message and let me know if you see anything suspect

I may have overlooked a wide or long subject line, cause I have noticed it happen a couple of other times. I'll pay closer attention next time, though.

I've found out what it is that is causing it.
1). Run IE maximized and the forums show normal with no horizontal scrolling.
2). Click the 'Restore Down' button and size the window so that a horizontal scrollbar appears. But make the window sized so that it still takes up about 95% of the width of the screen.
3). Click the 'Maximise' button. The horizontal scrollbar is still there.
I don't know why, but it depends the size that you are maximizing from in order to cause the horizontal scrollbar to stay on the screen.
Let me know if you need anything else to duplicate this.

Do you think it would be nice if there was a search engine whith a browse button with which we could select a photo from our hard disk and the search engine finds simmilar photos?

Well, current search engines 'image search', could be used like that either.
That way at least many boys and gils could check their friends quickly 
But it has a lot of usage I think, like police might find a man in an online camera, no no idea's about it's usage, I already wasted a lot of time, no I don't let you mind ...

Searching based on what? The file name or the actual image it self? Yea, that could be handy.
BTW, I believe this board has traditionally been for suggestions concerning CP.

was editing My Settings just now (just the signature). when I saved it, i got a message saying my name, which i hadn't changed, was already taken. it saved my changes anyway.

Yeah, that's classic behavior. See, there's this guy, and CP thinks he's the Real You. So don't ever change your name, or you won't be able to get it back...
(unless that guy really is you, and you can log in and temporarily change the name on that account...)

My sig appears in messages when they are initially posted, but when I modify the message, the sig no longer appears.
Expected behavior:
Signature still appears in message after modification of the message body.
Observed behavior:
Signature no longer appears in message after modification of the message body.
Steps to reproduce in IE6:
1. Create new post, or reply to existing post. Enter whatever you want for the message body.
2. Note that your signature is displayed in the message.
3. Modify the message from (1)
4. Click Post Message
5. Note that the signature is no longer part of the message.

Yep, it is.
Note that prior to submitting the first modification, the sig still appeared in the Signature box. This time, though (prior to the second modification), the Signature box is blank.

The message boards' shortcuts above in all the forums are laid out 3 by 8. However, a majority of them are quite long in name and use two rows instead of one. 4 rows are expanded to be exact. If you made it 2 columns, the four rows would collapse back into single rows and the 8 forums from the one column would replace the 4 previous rows in 2 columns. Wouldn't that be more readable?

Why does the new Math forum have an AND instead of a slash and why the menu order is different than the text link.
Also, in the menu, SQL / ADO / has a trailing slash. I assume because ADO .NET wouldn't fit?
