I have a program that does all of it's work in one master loop on one button click. The form has a label and a progress bar. Every 25 records in the loop the label text is set to display how many records have been processed and the progress bar value is updated accordingly. I finish this display update with a Me.Refresh so that the screen will redraw itself. This all works fine. The problem I'm having is that I'll start my program and while I'm waiting for it to finish I'll pull up some other program, then I go back to check on it's progress and the window will not redraw. How can I get it to redraw in this instance?

ok, before even looking at some posts , i had an example source for using the WNetOpenEnum.But i dont understand anything .. what do the params. mean.. and how do i use it?

i have only ONE workgrounp and i need to enumerate all the computers in IT.. .but could someone PLEASE EXPLAIN.. the API to me... or gimme a link to a TUTORIAL not some crazy source code =( . i might need to use this API later on for more complex things...

Hi.
I need to create a console application that has to run DTS located on the server.
Does anyone knows how to do that?
I have imported Microsoft DTSPackage Object Library to my application and created an obect.
But what do I do next? I guess I'm not sure how to use pkg.LoadFromSQLServer
My test DTS returns String to me. How do I capture it? DTS I'm writing the application for does not return anything, I just need to execute it on a scheduled basis.

I am looking for a vb script that can pull a line of data from an .ini file on all my pc's accross my network and store it to another txt file using comma delimited. I would need it to store the computername and the single line of data from the file. Below I have included what the file looks like, the line I would need is "WS=" and whatever number WS equals, in this case it would be 737.
Would someone be able to help me out with this? Thanks for your time...

I'm getting a really annoying error when trying to save my xml document. I was using the example from the MSDN and it failed to with the same error. Here's the current code:

What kind of error specifically? Is it an access denied error? You're telling it to save as testxml.xml. but what directory are you running in? Did you set the DocumentElement to something before appending children to it?

All you have to do is convert the C# code to VB.NET. I haven't found any VB.NET examples and, frankly, have no time to convert them myself.

HY!
I'm using the AxWebBrowser component in my current vb.net project to be able to use my app as a browser! I want to switch off the internet explorer keyboard shortcuts, but I don't know how i can handle this with the AxWebBrowser tool. I know it's possible to do that with the standard vb.net 2005 WebBrowser tool in vb developer 2005 ->
WebBrowser1.WebBrowserShortcutsEnabled = False.
But there's a bug in the WebBrowser (navigating thru macromedia flash sites isn't possible http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=142772&SiteId=1[^]) component, so I have to use AxWebBrowser.

Yes I know this, the only issue is that the imagelist's items property is read only and images cannot be added programatically, is there anyway to sotre a virtual indexed list, like a string.

I was compacting and repairing my Database, and my Computer hanged, then I restarted it and after the restart I openned my database and could not find all my queries. Can anyone help me if its still possible to retrieve those lost queries.

More than likely not. Pretty much, the only thing you can do is another Compact and Repair. Don't you just love Access?!?!
