Anyone looked at Microsoft Money and said, "I know exactly how they did this. "?
I have a contact manager project ahead of me, Feb/Mar... and was thinking of the look/functionality of MS Money. There are a lot of things that seem different from the normal Doc/View architecture. Any thoughts?

However I remember reading circa Internet Explore Release 4.7, that the GUI of MSMoney had been changed to a MSHTML driven App using the IE components,
But Like I said I've never seen MSMOney !

To get the full name (I assume the path is in here..)

Hi again!
I forgot to ask this as well in my previous post.
I thought to also add the feature to produce Animated GIF output to my app and I needed some hints/guidance to where I can find sample codes or any library ready to use inorder to produce Animated GIFs from a sequnce of animated screen activity of my app!

Hi All! 
OK, this may sound too technical but I've done almost 80% of the job! Only one problem I have to solve which I could not since 3 days trying!
I need help and it is this:
I get the 1st frame of the AVI stream and pass it to a function that accepts two parameters, a file name string and an LPBITMAPINFOHEADER lpbih which is the 1st AVI frame I mentioned above.
OK, I fill the lpbih with the format I desire and then try to save it plus the rest of the extracted frames into BMP files and to HD!
I fail in this process as the saved BMPs are only 1KB and empty(no image data)!
ANY HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED IN ADVANCE! and of course FOREVER!

Hi, I am writing a programme and using vector in it, and I get host of errors. So I wrote a simple program using vector to get an idea what is wrong with my vector definition. The simple program is as follows:

List of Errors I get on compiling:

I try to use WTL to create an list control with callback Items but it does not work !
My parent window does'nt receive the LVN_GETDIPINFO message.

I created a modeless dialog as an Information-Dialog for data-transformation.
The dialog should show an list control for the messages ("1.Data transformed","2.Data transformed","3.Data transformed",...) and an avi.
The dialog (same class) works fine in another case but when I open the dialog I can see the frame, but no avi and no Listbox).
Does anyone have an idea?

It looks like the programm works just for the data transformation and updates the dialog after the work is done.

I want to add window socket support to my current mdi program that i did not add in the window socket previously. Can anyone tell me how to add in the window socket support manually?

1) Add this line to stdafx.h:
#include <afxsock.h> // MFC socket extensions
2) Link to wsock32.lib
That should do it.

You also need to call AfxSocketInit() in your app's InitInstance(). Assuming you're using MFC, of course.

assuming ur using VC++ go to
Project-Settings
Make sure you select the all config and then click on the link tab
Then in the libary moduals type the wsock32.lib in at the begining of the list

I made an activex control in MFC. i created CButton on the control window. when i tested the control in VB, i found out the button doesn't function correctly for some reason: it doesn't respond to any message. As soon as i pointed my mouse to any other control on the VB form and come back to hit the button, it becomes alright.
any ideas?
