u will get the event through the WM_COMMAND message. so overide the OnCommand function of the owner window of the menu.

can someone teach me how can i use XOR to encrypt and decrypt an *bmp image using class wizards?? and also a save button to save the encrypted image.... Thanks loads... I'm a New Learner in MFC  Thanks in advance

Your not going to find that functionality I'm afraid.
I would suggest "Applied Cryptography" by Bruce Schneier if you want to roll your own. He's got some good source code to derive from in the back of the book. Use GDI+ to get easy access to the bits of most popular image file formats or just encrypt the whole file if you like.
Look into the CryptoAPI if you find you can't stomach the code directly.

Start with something simpler. Then when you are ready to ask questions, make them specific see the first message in the forum "How to get an answer to your question".
Also XOR is NOT encryption and the IDE "Class Wizard" has nothing to do with XOR.
There are all sorts of articles, sample projects and tutorials here at Code Project and at msdn.microsoft.com.

It would qualify as a simple cypherlink[^]. Granted, you will usually have something else jacking with the data like the feistel function in blowfish but even there the XOR is at the heart of the algorithm. If I remember correctly, it was at the heart of most of the techniques in "Applied Cryptography" but the book is not at an arms reach at the moment so I can't confirm that.
For what it's worth in defense of the person that was asking for some guidance.

i'm sorry  i'm so noob..... but i'm just getting started on Visual C++ that is why i do not know alot of terms... so pls pardon me... sorry to ask again... so is there any other references i can look into to teach me how to do simple encryption?

hi
i did try most of the things to yesterday to display a message in a textbox by setdlgitemtext().
i tried this code too.

hWndMessage is probably NULL, so either the window m_hWnd has not been created yet, or a control with the ID of IDC_Message does not exist on the dialog, which makes GetDlgItem return NULL.
Check your control ID's in the resource editor and make sure they are assigned properly.

in your class not function and one another problem use from this code instead SetDlgItemText(IDC_Incoming_New_Call,...)
ok so you try this:
1-Declare one hWnd in your class(header file)
2-use createwindow
3-instead IDC_Incoming_New_Call use ::setWindowText(hWnd,your message);
4-in the end Destroy this hwnd
5-answer to me it work or dosent work,please
6-where you use handleOffering

Actually my application is a dialog based application.
i did the same as u said but nothing is happing....
i tell u what is exactly i'm trying to do....when a call comes to my PC event generate and i have called this(handleoffering) fucntion when recieve event occurs.
and want to display a message in a text box that "new call is coming".
now tell me where i'm doing wrong.
