Most simple exceptions like validating input and the like I do on the spot. Most complicated situation what I run into in libraries, I'll usually let bubble to the using application, so they can be logged. Those types of exceptions I like to have a full stack trace for tracking the application break.
I guess for me, it all depends on whether or not it's an exception I'll want to investigate and need all the information I can get. Most exceptions in an API library I let bubble.

Yeah me too, I usually find what I'm looking for in articles or google. Most of what I can't find there, I assume nobody has attempted. And I assumed that was a response to Josh.

Hi,
i have a folder view which list all my folders in a tree view form. My requirement is, after selecting a folder if i send a delete command it has to delete all folders and its contents. Problem is only after deleting the files in the subfolders,i can delete the folder. i need to do an recursive search. Urgent.... plzzzzzzzz reply. I am using c# windows application.
e.g

12
121
122
13
say my tree view looks like this... if i delete the folder 1. it should find out all the subfolders. Should delete 13 first and 122 and then 121 and 12 and 11.
plzzzzzzz do guide me... Thanks in advance...

 hi i did but then its not working properly..... if i select a node. the rootnode.nodes property is not taking the subfolders of the child node....

in the above the 131 and 132 nodes are not accecible.... they r not coming under the collectios..... plzzzzzzzz help me..

If you use the method above, and pass it node '13', it will process '131' and '132' before doing 13. You're not using the treeView.Nodes are you?
What ever owns the 1, 11, 12, 13 & 14 nodes (treeView or another node) won't have 131 and 132 in it's Nodes collection, node 13 will. A TreeNode object has a Nodes colleciton just as TreeView does. That's why the method above accepts a TreeNode, and pocesses it's children before itself.
Maybe I don't fully understand you question.

I am using standard OpenFileDialog window. Is there a way to suppress (disable) the New Folder button, so that the user does not have the ability to create new folders?

I don't see a 'New Folder' button in the OpenFileDialog, so i can't help you there. But if you are using the FolderBrowserDialog, set the ShowNewFolderButton property to false.

There is no problem - that is the intended behaviour and there is (rightfully) no way to overcome it.

When MS release .Net 3.0 and C# 3.0, will these be compatible with VS 2005, does anyone know? I've only just stumped up the cash for VS, and I'm looking forwards to having to stump up even more!

1.1 was not compatible with VS.NET, 2.0 is not compatible with 2003, I don't think 3.0 will be compatible with 2005  .

It currently is compatible with VS2005. Keep in mind that .NET 3.0 is just a marketing term. It really uses .NET 2.0 - but has tons of extra classes added in.

Kind of true. It uses the 2.0 CLR (unlike the .NET 1.1 to 2.0 transition, no CLR changes are required this time around). However, it does use a new .NET framework base class library that is superset of of what's currently available.

Do you know if MS is going to increment the assembly versions from 2.0 to 3.0? I certainly hope so, otherwise it will be very confusing.

But you'll still be able to use it from VS 2005. That's the point, albeit with add-ins or whatever.
