I am using form 2.0 control for displaying unicode text. I am able to copy the unicode text from that control to clipboard but fails to paste the unicode text from clipboard to form 2.0 control.
Also I am struck how to type in unicode in form 2.0 control!!!

Sir,
I am using connection string in the following format
Dim cnstr As String = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.Oledb.4.0;data source=C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Visual Studio Projects\WindowsApplication1\db1.mdb"
But when I use connection string in the following format it shows error and connection does not get establishment.
Dim cnstr As String = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.Oledb.4.0;data source=WindowsApplication1\db1.mdb"
I don't want to declare the full path.
Please help me

Has anyone tried creating a program that implements Secure File Transfer Protocol? I have seen code for stand-alone FTP programs and several 3rd party components that allow for sFTP, but I haven't seen complete code for sFTP.
From what I have read sFTP is FTP running over a Secure SHell (SSH). I don't mind doing a bit of investigation into this, but I haven't done Network programming previously. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
I'd like to code this without using third party components so that I have complete control and accountability for the end result.

I have created a recordset from a data table, I have then populated a listbox with the data from the recordset using the lst.items.add() property.
What I want to do now is when a user clicks on the item in the listbox, I want to be able to retrieve the specific record from the recordset, so I can access data from other fields in that record. Is it possible to do this?

I'm working with a search function with navigation bar. the simple function with searching data which able to go previous or next data. I first select the data and fill into a dataset, then use bindingmangerbase to move the position. it works fine. The result can be filtered and displayed correctly. however, as it can only display the result. I cannot go to the previous or next record of the result.
For example, If I want to go to the productID #100, it just show me the record that I select. I want to search ProductID #100 and also able to view the previous or next record of it. that is, not select this record only, but allocate the point here and able to move to next record.

hi everybody
iam working in project in which the textfiles are continously changed ,or some data, is added to it by another application and i have to filter the textfiles and save it to another file and i have to process 56 files at a time and if all are processed continouslty cpu usage comes to 100% so i need to do something so that only the modified data which has addded to the file since last filteration done by my application so how can i do so can anyone guide me to do so thanks original text file format is like 20062511.095525,34444,566,7 and i have to filter it as 11/25/2006,95525,34444,34444,34444,34444,5666,7

Seems like a convoluted way of doing things to me. If you have the opportunity to redesign it so that the data is stored in a database of some sort rather than text files then you'll have a much more robust solution.
The only way you can detect that a file's contents have actually changed is to read it. The way you can tell if a file has been touched (i.e. written, modified or created) is to inspect the file's creation date or modified date in the file system. At the very least you'll then be able to detect and read only the changed files and not all 56.
As an advanced topic you can also be advised of a file's change of status by some system events, but this is I think beyond the scope of this forum. There are articles on The Code Project that discuss this issue if you wish to pursue it.

I'm using the new report object in .net 2.0. I created a report but when the report runs it displays records I do not want to see. I would like to have a form displayed before running the report that allows the user to define what records they want to see on the report. I think I want to use parameters in my query I'm not sure how to set all this up. Any help on this would be much appreciated!

I have a somewhat complicated problem. I have a project that when it deploys actually has two exe's. One is used as a shell program, it uses an xml file to determine and call the most updated version of the sub program. It then removes any outdated sub programs to clean up the file structure. The issue that I'm running into is that after installing with a windows deployment project and then updating the program (through code already written in the sub program) the shortcuts that were created during the setup/install process no longer work. It throws an error because for some reason it is trying to find the .msi file that it used to install the program. The shortcuts point to the shell program, which doesn't change at all during an update. If I use windows explorer and just click directly on the shell program, it works fine. And creating a NEW shortcut to the exact same shell program works just fine too. So maybe since the file structure around it changed it thinks it's damaged and it's trying to run the setup to fix itself????? I was hoping this would come down to a setting in the setup project that I need to change, but I'm having trouble finding help on it. Does anyone have any ideas how to make this work so my users will not have to delete and then recreate their shortcuts?
