MS has a wonderful book on this subject in their Patterns and Practices section. It's a downloadable PDF, about 500 pages (IIRC).

I suppose System.Web.Hosting.ApplicationHost.CreateApplicationHost() would be a good start, unfortunately I have never done it myself

As I told you look at the application hosting of ASP.NET as you will need that to start, and as I said, from there I dont know, because I havent tried it.

Just edit your .csproj file.
Use XmlDocument to edit it.
Find "Include" Node and add "File" Node to it.

Hi,
I'm using WebBrowser control of VS.NET 2005.
I have handled the Navigate event of this control but I don't know how to get the data on the request object before it is sent to server.

change the property Url to about:blank
drop a button to form1 (leave the button1 as name)
bouble click on the button1 and paste following code as event handler

Thank nafiseh_salmani, but the Document.Stream just get the source of HTML Page not a data on a request send to server.
I mean that:
I have a HTML page and it have some javascript function, this script will send request to server when the form is loading.
Now I want to manage all the request send to server because I want to change somethings on this request.
If I use VB.NET code to manage all requests, how can I do?

An application(asp.net(.net2)) generating reports using
crystal report is published and accessed over a link.After using
the link and generating reports for a while,reports are not not generated further.
Is this having anything to do with crystal report registration,memory problems(dataset is used) or something else???

AFAIK, Bluetooth devices can be used pretty much as serial ports. You should see in your system properties if your bluetooth device, once installed, creates something like a virtual COM port, which you can use with the class SerialPort in .NET framework 2.0.

I have created text on a tabpage by using graphic object.
g = tabPage1.CreateGraphics();
g.DrawString(text, fnt, brsh, x, y);
g.Dispose();
Labels were used before instead and the tabPage was scrollable (tabPage.AutoScroll = true). But now, after changing labels to graphic objects, the tabpage is not scrollable any more and thus causes missing text. Also, whenever the splitter is moved, the existing text on the tabPage disappeared and the tabPage becomes blank.
Any solutions to these problems?

I currently have a problem in my application which has me stumped.
I have a datagrid with four columns that is has a dataview as a datasource which in turn has a DataTable as a datasource "dayDataTable".
I have the ColumnChanging event on the DataTable bound.
Now, sometimes, when I change the value of a cell, the dayDataTable_ColumnChanging function is not executed.
What could cause this?

I'm wondering how I set up a form similar to the Clickonce interface (http://dotnetfan.org/images/ClickOnce.jpg).
The part I'm interested in is the navigation along the left side. How do these buttons change the inside of the document? Does this just hide the fact that it uses MDI? Anyone know of any online tutorials to learn about this?
Also, are those tabs included in Windows forms at all or do they have to be made from scratch? Thanks.

Alright, I'm replying to my own post. I know, I know.
I was wondering if this was at all done with the splitContainer. I just dont see how to switch out the second panel when a button is pressed in the first. Also, if that is possible, how do you design all of the pages in VS2005? I dont see how. Oh well. Thanks again.

I am having a problem with invoking the statusbar from the options form:

Could someone point me in the right direction please?

The form isn't yet shown. Use the InvokeRequired property to determine whether Invoke needs to be called otherwise call the function directly. Depending on your situation you could make a public and typesafe wrapper for this:

My requirement is to set combobox column for deptno column of the table dept.
When insert button is clicked,i write the following code

My problem is that combobox column is displayed as a separate column.But it value member set to deptno column of dept table.And when i select 30 from that combo box control goes to deptno=30 row.
I want combox cell is set for deptno column and when we select a value from that combo box column the velue is displayed for that row.
How to do this.

Hi
I need some help. Im a beginner.
I want to create a abstract class called CustomTabPage which inherits from TabPage class. Reason why Im doing this is because after creating this class I want to create several classes which inherit from my CustomTabPage, which are objects that I will create instances of.
How do I go about setting the size and other properties in my CustomTabPage class?
I hope this makes sense.
