My question is just regarding visual c++.Net.
I have an application that is working well in WindowXP Enviornment from last 3 year.This application is using VC++6.0 compiler for building application.
Now I have shifted this application building process from VC++6.0 compiler to VC++7.0.Net compiler.Now its working well in WindowXP environment.
But Its having some crashes while executing the application in Windows2K environment.
Can you exactly tell me how to trace out this problem.
Please reply as soon as possible.

Its crashes with error message "invalid memory access voilation" when executing the application in Windows2K environment.Crashes are not consistent.So it was not easily tracable.

Hello Members!

I'm trying to use Requery in MFC. But it's not working at all. I've used dynaset too so that I don't need to use it. But that's also not working. That's why, I've to face a lot of problems in doing software properly in MFC Frown | :-(

. Can anyone please give me the solution? It's really very urgent. Please do help me if anyone can.

Hi,
can any one tell how to read Windows NT Quota stream through Window NT Quota API. i have used these interfaces

IDiskQuotaControl
IDiskQuotaEvents
IDiskQuotaUser
IDiskQuotaUserBatch
IEnumDiskQuotaUsers

to get any specific information related to quota of user on NTFS. But i want to read Quota Data stream. (Like, to read standard data stream, alternate data stream etc on NTFS, we use BackupRead). Is there any Api through which we can read Quota data stream.

Yah I had read this article. This only gives information of how to get any specific information for a quota assigned to a user on a NTFS volume.

I have found that in Windows NT, all the information about the Quota of NTFS volume is presented in $Quota system file.

While making backup of a file which exist on NTFS volume, i m able to read all the other streams like security stream, object id, standard etc through BackupRead api function which gives all the data related to a particular strema. That's what i want to do with quota stream also.

Plz guide me in this case.

I use DLL to hooking. Assume that I 'm holding focus in 1 windows, how to obtain that program name (i.e *.exe or fullpath : c:\test\abc.exe)

Sorry I am back….

With help of Steve Echols I have finished displaying text file in the Rich Edit box,

Now I want to search a particular word in the edit box and I want to high light them
Can u please help me with this….

Inorder to close the Port, u need to close the handle of the Port,that u get from CreateFile.

hPort = CreateFile(..........);

for closing this,

if(hPort != NULL)<br />
  CloseHandle(hPort);

You cannot close the port by this method, if port is open by another application!

Splitter Control [modified]

Now, my project splittered 3 pane as Visual C++ 6.0
Use class ST_SplitterWnd
First pView1 is Dialog for Bandroll
and pView2 is splitter 2 pane: included: CView1 and CView2.
In CView1 has a dialog that has a TreeCtrl.
I can't control the tree to open a file in CView2.
Pls hep me as soon as.
