hi,
i'm writing application that extends "Active Directory Users and Computers" snap-in capabilities, but i'm stuck on how to get icons for AD objects. I found that there is a dll "dsuiext.dll" with some AD icons, but maybe is other way how to get these icons for specific type of object. In MSDN i found method "The IDsDisplaySpecifier::GetIcon method obtains the icon for a given object class" but i didn't get how to use it.
Maybe there is someone who has experience with it? Thanks for help

My problem is that when i press on the point which is on the numeric keypad nothing appears? I would like to use that point instead of that one which is usually used (on the left keypad).

I think this is a problem in your settings, not in your program. Do you get a comma or a point when you press that button in notepad.exe ?

you can find Dock property in control property window.
Add control, Go to properties of that control and change dock property

you can try a commercial control such as sandock from divelements. This control is VERY easy to implement in contrast to say Infragistics (too buggy too complex). If you are building a commercial application then divelements is a very cheap option to consider. http://www.divelements.co.uk

Hi all,
I try to create an add in for Excel in C# with VS.NET 2005 but the add in is never loaded by Excel (2003). The sample of my add in is very simple: I just call a Message Box at the end of the OnConnection method to check if add in is loaded.
PS1: I have done the same thing with VS.NET 2003 and it is working.
PS2: In the Add in wizard (in VS.NET 2005), I have checked options to activate my add in with not only Excel but with all office proposed products, and it works fine with Outlook, Powerpoint ... (only Excel and Word don t work).
So, if anybody knows where the problem comes from...

have you checked the load behaviour value registry entry for the respective ms office application ?

yes, load behaviour was right (0x03 at the beginning then 0x02 after I load Excel, because add-in was not loaded :S)
In fact, I have investigated on my side, the probleme come from a bug of Visual Studio/Office; Solution found here : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908002/

Hi friends
I am trying to use crystal report in asp.net1.1 . I am able to display report using crystal report viewer.
But the problem is when i am passing the parameters from the asp.net page.Its not showing any kind of errors, but its not showing the data also.So if someone can send me the code of setting the parameter in c# then it'll be very helpfull. I've done the same in windows application but on searching the net i found that its totally different for web.

could u be more specfic what is the prob u r getting.
there are only two steps needed to show the report in windows.
CrViewerObject.ReportSource = reportObject;
CrViewerObject.Show();
But the problem might be you're not logging the report

I'm not able to save that image in resource file just as visual studio does when i try to load an image as background.

Here I am sending sample application.
After creating new application. From resources.resx desing I added icon (AddResources->AddExistingFile). From resources.resx view code I changed
Resources\Alarm161.ico;System.Drawing.Icon to
Resource:
Resources\Alarm161.ico;System.Drawing.Bitmap
Because I want to add bitmap to my Button.
From form desing I added one button.
In Button1_click(..) event I added this code
Code: System.Drawing.Bitmap bitmap1 = WindowsApplication1.Properties.Resources.Alarm161;
button1.Image = bitmap1;

ok i know it, but the problem that it is manual. Visual Studio to set the background image for the panel doesn't make me to add the bitmap in resource with (AddResources->AddExistingFile), but just load it automaticaly.
So how can i do the same?
