How can I show the data from database on screen without using datagrid? Is there any other way? I don't want to have all the datas from one record in the same row.

Datalist? Repeater? Just a bunch of textboxes. It really depends on what you want to show and how you want to show it... You can bind your data to just about anything.

Sub Application_BeginRequest(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) in global asax.

If the session is created, you can access it through HttpContext.Current.Sesssion.
The BeginRequest event is the first event to be raised for a request. It's possible that the session is not identified or created at this stage.

i have tried to write code in BeginRequest event
Dim str2 = System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Session.SessionID()
then i got this message
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Is there any way to get sessionid in BeginRequest event .

As someone pointed out, the sessin may not be created. Alternately, you can check whether the session is created before trying to access it.
Try the Session_OnStart event instead if applicable.

Well to count number of hits. What you can do is that you can increment a counter in global.asax's
protected void Session_Start(Object sender, EventArgs e)
{
i++;
}
this will give the number of hits on ur site

In Global.asax file write the following code
Application["counter"]=0
Now write the code on the form load
Application["counter"]= (int)Application["counter"] + 1
Label1.text = "You are visitor no = " + Application["counter"]

write a function in javascript at client side for Form1.TextBox1.value = 'OK',Form1.submit()" and call that function with Attributes.Add
for example, let assume that ur javascript name is 'xyz' and call this from serverside like
TextBox1.Attributes.Add("onmouseover", "xyz()")

suppose we have 10 pages in the drid and 5 recs per page.
And i am in the 6 th page so
Count = (6-1) * 5 + corrent page records
